Can you use the aed pads more than once on this trainer? the pads look quite expensive?

You can but they do lose thier stick over time, try to make sure the students don't put the pads on the carpet etc but the original pads are still going for me after 4 courses and multiple applications on each course

do you need a mannequin or can you train using something like a pillow? and does it make a beeping sound before shocking?

Hi If you are teaching basic life support and AED training - you really need a manakin to teach both effective chest compressions and correct application and use of an AED. A pillow would not provide effective training.
