Question 2

I want to know if the inside of the lid detaches for cleaning? To ask a different way, does the metal inside of the top of the machine come off ?

Accepted Answer

I asked the Manufacturer several questions. The answer is among these:1) Yes, porridge means congee in this case, as this is the Asian definition of porridge". Please find here a link to make oatmeal porridge in our rice cooker. 2) There is no inner lid to remove. Please see our updated and improved manual as attached. You can only remove the small white steamer. *** I have just removed the white steamer vent (for the 1st time!) - it is held in place by a rubber seal and needs to be pulled downwards.***3) Yes, sweet rice is the same as pudding rice. Please find a recipe below: Rice pudding in the KRC-140:Ingredients for 2 Persons (servings):1 1/2 cups milk rice to 4 times the amount of liquid (milk).Depending on your personal taste you can add vanilla sugar and 2 tablespoons sugar. Choose White Rice" at the menu and let the rice cook for around 20-25 minutes.

Question 3

Can you please advise what the non-stick pan is coated with please. Is it teflon?

Accepted Answer

It is a non stick Titanium coating. It is absolutely NOT harmful, as Titanium is used in medical practice. It is a very tough and hard surface. The rice or other dishes will not burn at the bottom.

Question 4

Is the bowl dishwasher-safe?

Accepted Answer

Yes, it is dishwasher safe, but we recommend to wash it by hand. As the surface could be attacked by the salt which is contained in the dishwasher tabs.
