Is it April yet?! It can't come soon enough!!
Oh holy mother of all that's good and pure! *fans self*What a read! I was absolutely immersed in this book from chapter 2. I could not put it down!!Read it front to back in a few hours and now I'm slumped that I have to wait until April for the next part! Haha. This book ends on a soft cliffhanger as it's a trilogy, but it's oh-so-good!I LOVED Brick and his growly ways. He's the perfect Billionaire Alphahole (who's also an actual Alpha hehe) boss. His interactions with Madi either had me giggling because of their antics and verbal sparring or made me fan myself because of the saucy scenes.Brick is the Alpha of his pack and is in a bit of a pickle now because Madi is human (or is she...I am still hoping she's actually not.... lol) which is creating problems because his wolf is hell-bent on mating her, however, this is not the thing you do when you are the Alpha. No humans allowed in the pack and all that! :PBring on April...I need to know what happens next!

4 stars – Who’s afraid of the Big Bad Boss?!
… not Madi, that’s for sure! *snorts*Holy Mother of All Cliffhangers!*wails* Why do I do this to myself? *bashes head on desk**lifts back up**straightens top**coughs* Apologies, just a little Laura-melodrama to interrupt your regular scheduled programming, but the frustration was R-E-A-L, peeps. The rage that Brick induced in me was off the charts! I don’t call him Brick The D… *coughs* (apologies (again!), but you know what I mean) for nothing! I’m obviously a total glutton for punishment though because I liked it… *shrugs* Go figure!Take one human female unaware shifters exist, add one Alpha-hole wolf shifter who just happens to be her boss, sprinkle liberally with incendiary chemistry, and what do you get? Trouble with a capital T!Madi is nobody’s fool, but she’s playing a game without all the chess pieces… Ugh *palms face*, my BP was at DEFCON 1 levels, and the air was literally blue at points as I vented my annoyance. Brick should come with his own warning labels for Madi. Warning: may cause whiplash! And *crosses arms*, don’t even get me started on his pack mate Billy. I am bringing ALL the snacks if he gets his own HEA as I’d love to see him fall for a ‘lowly’ human *snorts*.I can’t wait to see how the drama unfolds in Book 2 and see if I get some answers to all my burning questions about what the heck is going on.Word of advice, Brick. I hope your grovel is strong…

Fabulous shifter read with scorching chemistry!
This was a brilliant read, loved it, the first book in a trilogy and I can't wait for the other 2 books - PNR / shifter / fated mates / boss-assistant / alphahole read.Madison joins Moon & Co as an assistant, she's looking to pay for her brother's tuition through college and has managed to snag this Wall Street position, but the boss is renown for firing his assistants in days!Brick Blackthroat is the CEO of Moon & Co, he is the alpha of his pack and his colleagues / brothers work with him and have done since college. He has a lot on his plate - a family feud involving a rival pack, the CEO of that company just happens to be his cousin, and there is bad blood there. Brick is renown for his lack of emotion and not taking any nonsense from anyone. He is immediately drawn to Madi, her scent makes his mouth water and his wolf wants her, but he continually denies his chemistry to her as she is a human and not a shifter. But Madi is whip smart and quickly becomes his own assistant, an asset to their company, and Brick finds it increasingly difficult to resist her, especially her sassy mouth and those peek-a-boo dresses she insists on wearing and pushing his buttons! The banter between these two was hilarious at times, their chemistry is off the charts and I love the fact that he just cannot resist her, but more fool him for denying their obvious connection. Madi is determined to push him to see how far she can go and does not back down from his Alpha power.Great story line with very interesting characters in the rest of the Board members and Madi's best friend, along with the background story involved the family feud. There is a bit of a cliffhanger at the end of this one as it continues with 2 other books, and I seriously can't wait to read the next one. Highly recommended reading for shifter fans!

Just what I needed for my kindle
Having been stuck in a book funk for a while when I received an ARC copy of Big Bad Boss was unable to dive right in. Having seen the great reviews the book received took a day out and read Big Bad Boss and I fell completely in love with the writing and the characters.Maddie a human is smart, funny, and sassy, and while taking up an assistant's position on Wall Street for a werewolf billionaire Brick Blackthroat is not her career objective in the interim it allows her to support her brother's college dream.Brick dismisses his assistants on a whim with his extremely rigid rules but while Maddie challenges him every step she also stirs up his wolf's protective interests. As their business relationship develops in turn they also grow closer but with the ongoing feud between the Blackwells and another shifter family, information being leaked from his company, it is far from a smart idea for a human and a shifter to be linked. While it is important to note the story finishes on a cliffhanger, it is exceedingly well-written, and to allow all the drama to unfold this story cannot be rushed to do justice to the story.

Thank God for cliffhangers..
RR had me hooked right outta the gate. Office flirting, taboo attraction no-no’s…awesome. Add a paranormal element and it levels up to a resounding , “yayess”!! I loved Madi Evans’ strong, independent character. Just awesome character description and details. Everything about her rang true. Even though she’s been accepted to several Ivy League schools, she decides to forego that direction to get a job on Wall Street for the sole purpose of paying her brother’s college tuition. Then there’s CEO Brick Blackthroat, who couldn’t be described less than the big, delicious cherry on an orgasmic hot fudge sundae. What an outstanding character RR gave us. The conflict Madi brings to the office and the under pressure frustration within Brick was described to perfection. Secondary characters are equally great. Office drama, business politics, competitive friction, sexual tension….all are well executed and believable. This was an exemplary and suspenseful beginning and I thank the Heavenly Lord above it’s not over.

Brick and Madison... a story!
This book grabbed me from the opening page into the world of Madison. Her plan to help her brother attend prestigious NYU by getting a job on Wall Street brings her into Brick's world. The sparks fly during her first meeting with the Big Bad Boss on her first day on the job.We are pulled into the Alpha Wolf's world and his pack's expectations of successfully regaining top wolf pack status again. Brick struggles with his desire for a human that he just can not walk away from. The choices he has to make for his pack to remain strong and intact are at war with what his heart wants. What are the secrets between Brick and his mother? Why is the Alpha so drawn to a human? What are Madison's secrets that even she doesn't know? We are going to have to wait till Book 2!This book was so well written. I can't wait to read the rest of the story to get the answers!

Steaming hot!
Brick is the wolf-shifter boss and Madi is his human assistant, but that doesn't stop them from steaming up the pages in this story, the first in a new series and their trilogy.I received a free copy of this book and am voluntarily leaving a review.

Grumpy Alpha male falls hard!
Great story, does not feel rushed. Characters are very well developed. Madi is an alpha female even though she is human! She is strong minded and doesn’t take anything lying down. Brick - stubborn, as any alpha male. Trying to make the right decision for all impacted. Love the story! Note this is part one of the series and does leave in a cliff hanger, but book two picks up right where this leaves off.
