To qualify my review, I'm mostly a boulderer who does problems in the v4-v7 range. Probably the perfect candidate for hangboard training since finger strength rather than muscular strength is my limiter. This board is nicely crafted and sanded with satisfying holds. Lots of options here from big holds to do pullups on all the way down to single finger pockets and tough slopers. There are also a couple of small inserts so you can make the 4 finger holds smaller. It does lack very small 4 finger crimp holds even with the inserts in. This is something I like about the boards at my climbing gym so a little disappointing to not have them. Otherwise there are enough options for almost anyone's hangboard training needs, and this has replaced my plastic metolius hangboard.

Beautifully made, likely with a CNC router. As is visually evident, there is a great variety of finger pockets and other holds, as well as several inclines. The board is sanded to a very smooth finish, which for me, makes use of the inclines impossible. I have the original version of this type of board (yah, I am that old) which has a textured surface much closer to that’s of most real rocks, which has held up through the decades and needed cleanings. That texture, for me, makes that entire board usable, which I can’t say about this one (yes, though in my 70s, it still hangs over the door to my home gym, and is visited often). So a nicely crafted board with surfaces that are gentle to the fingers, but won’t be replacing its predecessor.

This is a really awesome hang board. It features a multitude of different holds, pockets, slopes and other different type of holds to challenge and strengthen your holds/finger strength. Initially upon placement, I found I struggled with just about every hold. I’ve been climbing for about two years, but small holds have never been my strong suit. As I’ve continued to use this, I’ve noticed I’m able to hold on much longe than when I initially started training with this hang board. It’s made from a strong durable hard wood and is unfinished to maximize grip. It feels sturdy. I’m about 6’4,” 185lbs and I feel quite secure when hanging. While I’m still struggling with most of the other holds, I know that with continued use/practice I’ll eventually be able to use the other ones. Installation can be a bit of a hassle if you’re not familiar with anchoring heavy items, but it’s fairly easy to look up a video on YouTube, that can easily explain how to install it based on your needs. I’ve really enjoyed this hang board. I’ve had simpler ones in the past, but this one is by far a better, more durable, and more versatile training board vs the other ones.

I appreciate so much that they made this asymmetrical so that your wrists and shoulders could stay straight and not be spread out. All of the cheap hangboards fail to do this. The one I received is made out of Poplar, which while not a pretty wood, feels very good to hold and will wear down very nicely. I appreciate the thoughtfulness of adding magnetic pieces to transform the 20mm to a 10mm hold and having an easy way to attach and remove them, whether to use or store. I've personally not used the sloped surfaces or pockets yet, as I haven't figured out the best use for them, but I imagine it will still be a great training device. I hope these guys get the attention they deserve. This is a good beginner to intermediate board. My only ask would be to not make the surfaces we use so smooth, but that can be fixed with a bit of sandpaper.

This climbing trainer is awesome! It's a very useful tool for practicing hand, wrist and finger strength and grips. The training board is easy to apply to pretty much any surface with the appropriate and included hardware. The training board is made of wood and has a decent grip to it off the bat. It doesn't require anything additional (outside of calk) to start using it after mounting it. The board offers a nice range and variety of holds/placements to practice at home. I'm impressed with this board and very happy with it. Would definitely recommend! It's a great tool to have at my finger tips.
