Great product
The Original McKenzie Lumbar Roll by OPTP is a game-changer when it comes to providing much-needed support and comfort for your low back while sitting in office chairs or car seats. One of the standout features of this lumbar roll is its ergonomic design. The contoured shape is specifically engineered to fit the natural curve of your lower back, providing optimal support and promoting healthy posture. Whether you're sitting for extended periods at your desk or on a long road trip, this lumbar roll helps maintain proper alignment and reduces strain on your back. The quality of the materials used in this lumbar roll is exceptional. The foam filling is firm enough to provide substantial support, yet it still remains comfortable for extended use. The cover is made from durable and breathable fabric, ensuring that it withstands daily use and allows for good airflow to prevent sweating or discomfort.Another great advantage is the versatility of the Original McKenzie Lumbar Roll. It comes with an adjustable strap that allows you to secure it to any chair or car seat, ensuring it stays in place throughout the day. The compact size makes it easy to bring along wherever you go, whether it's to the office, during travel, or even to use on your favorite armchair at home.Using the lumbar roll is effortless. Simply place it in the curve of your lower back, adjust the strap, and you'll immediately feel the support it provides. The firmness of the roll gently encourages proper posture, which can help alleviate and prevent back pain caused by poor sitting habits. One potential downside is that the lumbar roll may take some time to get used to, especially if you're not accustomed to sitting with proper lumbar support. However, with consistent use, you'll find that it greatly improves your sitting experience and helps alleviate any existing back discomfort.Overall, The Original McKenzie Lumbar Roll by OPTP is a highly effective and durable product that offers exceptional low back support. The McKenzie roll rocks.
This product was recommended by my physical therapist, and it is fantastic! I have several bulging discs, and to drive my car for any length of time, its very painful. With this item, it supports my back in the exact spot that helps me not have pain at all. This is a fantastic item. I totally recommend this. Some are cheaper, but I would just stick to this original item, cost is nothing compared to quality and comfort.

Great for chronic lumbar back pain
I have had chronic lower back pain for over 40 years, and countless surgeries have not alleviated my pain. I have to actively and continually manage my pain levels anyway I am able. That includes the use of lumbar cushions. The one spot that has been most aggravating for me is the sofa. Every lumbar pillow I have tried there has been a fail, that is, until I found this one. First of all, the strap is a huge help - the pillow stays precisely where I need the relief. The support is amazing - not too much, and not too little, but just right. I love this thing.

Tiny pillow that makes a world of difference
My friend is a physical therapist, and I went to see her because of lower back pain. I work long hours at my desk. I bought a nicer designer looking office chair, not knowing that for as nice as it looked it was going to be uncomfortable to sit in. She had one of these at her clinic and told me ditch the chair or get the right support. For now, I'm opting for the support. The bands have lots of stretch, I was able to attach it to my chair in no time. It's made a huge difference in my posture, and has added to the comfort factor. I still may need to nix the chair, but this has helped with some of my pain, for sure.

This product was recommended by my husband’s physical therapist.
This is a good product and comes just as it is described. I have one suggestion, perhaps make the strap, that goes around the chair, a little bit longer. My husband uses it in a recliner, and the strap will not go all the way around that type of chair. We bought two of these items, and they work well for straight back chairs and for the car’s seat. The product gives good support, and we appreciate that it comes in two different types of support.

Good support for lumbar
It is very firm but will soften up a bit with use.

Aaah! Relief!
First, to address the 3 main concerns I saw in the bad reviews before deciding to purchase:1. Yes, it IS difficult to stuff the foam back into its cover after removing the plastic. That said, I also struggle to get the foam back in my dog's orthopedic bed after washing the cover. That's just how it is if you want foam that fills the cover.2. The cover IS NOT a heavy high quality material. This probably isn't something you would want a thick cover for, though - it would diminish the benefits of the foam. Do you encase your memory foam mattress in heavy canvas? Probably not, because it wouldn't feel as nice or be as effective. However, the cover WILL likely tear with frequent removal/washing.3. Foam breakdown. This I can't speak on because I haven't had it long enough. I will say that you shouldn't leave it in your car because heat breaks foam down pretty fast. It also breaks down with heavy daily use, which is one of the reasons running shoes don't last forever. Those are valid concerns, but I feel they would be the same for any roll made with this type of foam. Now for the PROS:1. This is the first time I've been able to sit down, without lower back pain, in a while. This thing is perfect. If the cover rips, I will repair it.2. See #1 above.I went back and forth trying to decide between standard and firm. Ultimately, I decided on firm because at 5'7 and 200lb I'm on the heavier side. I can see how some would find it too hard, but it's just right for me. I can use it in chairs, and even lay on it on the squishy couch (but I think it would be too hard to try that on a less forgiving surface).
