In May I purchased this Igloo Ice maker. It is a great little machine that produces ice within about 6-8 minutes to produce ice. I would purchase from this company again. It worked fine for a couple of months, but unfortunately it started giving messages that it was out of water, when it wasn't and the ice machine stopped working. I contacted customer support through email, and called them. I spoke with a woman who asked me a few questions, and made a few suggestions, which ended up not working, but the kindness and customer service was awesome. They sent me a new icemaker and it came within 4 or 5 days (Came from California). Thanks for great customer support!

First off, we love this ice maker and it fully supplies our ice needs (and we use a lot of ice). Things to know: it is not a freezer, so you need to empty its basket when full or the ice will simply melt back into the reservoir. Not being a freezer, the ice is slightly wet at first. We simply empty the basket into a ziplock bag, freeze it solid, and break it up before putting it into our ice bin. This way we don't have to break up any clumps when we need ice. It is a little noisy, but doesn't run constantly and isn't any worse than our range hood on low.Compared to fixing our refrigerator or driving to the store for ice, we are very satisfied. Cheers!

**We are a full-time RVing Family with several groups we belong to. This was our first convenience purchase because we like cold drinks! We hope to be able to update our review & share a pleasant remedy story with our community of full timers!** @iglooWe ordered this ice maker because of Igloo’s reputation vs other brands. We did not unbox it immediately, but once we started using it, within two weeks, I contacted customer service (Amazon live chat) for help with the unit.This was the problem that prompted the help:Press the On/Off button, machine lights up as expected & motor kicks on, water fills top reservoir from the lower water holding tank, metal refrigeration bars across top & hanging metals bars (that form ice cubes) begin to freeze from interior side where housing is wired into refrigerant. Then, it abruptly clicks, motor stops, red light comes on to Add Water indicator (water level is between Max & Min marks so that’s not the issue), metal bars begin to defrost (only the first one to two ice molds were frosty), mechanisms to hold top water reservoir drains & disengages & unit has shut off completely.Amazon help suggested I reset the machine by press & holding on/off button for -/+ 15 seconds. It did solve that issue, that moment.Now two months later, we are back in the same place but the reset is not working. We’ve had to reset the machine a dozen times in two months of frequent but not constant use (4x a week). Generally we make ice for a couple hours & put ice in a bag in the freezer. When it’s gone, we make more. This reset fix has typically worked up until yesterday. It’s been drained, holding water tank & metal bars have been wiped cleaned as suggested by amazon help & I had the unit unplugged overnight with prayers that this will resolve itself. No luck this morning.Amazon customer service points to the “past date” for a return or refund (never got an answer if my first conversation- which was within the return refund date was documented- where they offered to return/ refund me in Sept). And BTW, I’ve searched for those chats all over my account & cannot find them. **Take a screen shot of you need any info for yourself**Hopefully, I can contact Igloo by finding the warranty info myself. Amazon gave me a phone number but I did not write it down & it disappeared.This is a great little ice maker when it’s working! Would really love to have Igloo stand by their product & send another one to me. I hate to believe this brand is no longer making quality products or they have an expectation that consumers can go to Walmart & buy another $120 from the shelf.

Wish the reservoir was bigger. So.etimes ice blocks the sensor and the rest in the bin melts leaving you with a "full" indicator but only a few pieces of ice. Other than that it works really well. Crunchy ice

It works great & easy to operate. It has several little perks for ease of use & makes ice in a quick fashion compared to our old one which looked & worked similar to this new one. We will use it for camping. We like to make ice for our coolers with them as we usually are hooked up to water & use that water.

I love this icemaker because it makes a lot of ice per day and it makes it fast. The only downside is it doesn’t have a self cleaning option and it’s a little loud.

the machine works as described. the only issue we have is that the ice cubes are watery so when we dump them in the ice bin in the freezer, they all stick together. have to smash the ice to a useable size. we followed the trouble shooting tips for this, but it didn't work. the area where the ice basket is doesn't get cold enough.

Trying to contact the company. Machine stopped making ice after 5 months of use. Noisy as well.

Creates ice quickly and easily - better than advertised

I've only had it for a day but filled a bag of ice last night. Worker perfectly! After getting it, let it sit for the hour on a flat surface, cleaned it, put water in, 5 min later the first 9 pieces fell. ****Day 2 made more ice and tried large size cubes, 1 got stuck, happy I was keeping an eye on it. Back to small size cubes only.

Works fast. Impressed.

I have used this for 5 months now and at first it was great. Besides the fact it doesn't keep the ice cold enough inside, it worked pretty good. For the past month it has been very loud (I have cleaned it a few times) and now it won't even make ice like it used to. It also has almost an electrical smell to it. Very disappointed.
