It took a couple turns but once the screw gripped onto the anchor these worked perfectly to fix my door hinge that had stripped screw holes in the frame. Was exactly what I needed.

I brought this product to use to screw my door hinges, and it did not work at all. It went into the hole and broke off properly, but when I put the screw in, it did NOT hold it whatsoever. We ended up using chopsticks and putting it in the whole and breaking it off and then putting a screw in. Do not buy this product for that purpose.

I had some stripped kitchen cabinet holes. I put these in and the cabinet door is still hanging in after three months.

I was hoping this would be a quick fix. It is not. I needed you tube, extra tools, a drill, etc & after all that I think I’d rather have fixed my issue another way. These things do seem a little brittle as well. Idk if this is just user error because I lack the skills. Just do your homework on the front end.

These anchors hold screws even in dry rot weak hollow woods and tighten up as screws tighten up with torque, great invention.

I tried this stripped screw repair on a door hinge with the repair being on the door side, not the wall side. This repair kit didn't work with this repair and I don't recommend wasting your time. The problem was once the anchor was inserted into the hole in the door and screwed in the screw, the anchor was just spin around and not stay still. Perhaps the door wood was too soft and this would work better with solid wood. I have not tried them with solid wood, so I don't know if they would work any better.
