Sexy Fan Worth The Price
My daughter and I call this the SEXY ceiling fan. I bought the chrome, and, as the style of my house is on the mcm/contemporary side, it looks right at home. It was a bit difficult for my handyman to install and took longer than the other ceiling fans we bought that don't have retractible blades, but it was worth it. So,1) looks great. 2) very quiet, which is good as it is in the dining nook, 3) has great lighting; the yellow bulbs that come with it have a nice warm tone, and 4) works with the remote or the light switch, so at night I just flip the light switch and it all goes off.My only issue (which may not be an issue at all if my research pays off) is that with the blades retracted when its off, how do I clean them? Been up for 3 months and I can't figure out how to get the dust and grime off. Once I figure that out, I'll be set.Again, love, love, love this fan!

Best invention ever
This is the best invention ever if you hate the look of ceiling fans like me but don't want to give up the option of a fan. It was pretty easy to install, and actually worked with the ceiling mount from our previous fan, which saved us some time. It was fairly difficult to wedge the remote relay box up into the ceiling mount and get the cover over it. There is a slight delay if you use the wall switch to turn the light on and off, I believe due to the remote relay, but it is only about 1 second and you get used to it. Or you can always use the remote.

Great fan, horrible install
The media could not be loaded. See video. All the sound in the video is NOT from the fan. It's my feet scuffing on the floor. The issues with the install are 1) Bracket requires a spacing of at least 3.25". My old junction box had a spacing of 3". Had to replace that. 2) Wiring. There are 5 wires at least 2 feet long. Could have been a foot long and there'd be lots of room to play. Also, the wire nuts are too small for large gauge home wiring. Had to use different ones. 3) Balancing process took 30 minutes. I've installed at least six ceiling fans in my life. This is by far the worst one for installation I've ever done. I've never had to balance a ceiling fan! The good? A beautiful and interesting fan!

Hidden fan
I have no buyer remorse having purchased this fan. I love that it doesn't look like a fan, which is why I bought it for the dining room. I've had complements from the builder and electrician on the fixture. The finish is a matte nickel and corresponds well with industrial steel and brushed nickel. The fan is quiet. My only complaint is that my house is wired with a light switch and a fan switch on the wall. This fan has a remote which turns the fan on and my switch doesn't work. Not sure if it's the fan or the electrician.

Game changer and a definite upgrade
Wife ordered this and I was like - really the $600 dollar one? Easy to install and took about 10 minutes. Much easier than installing those old blades. We were amazed at the change it brought to the room. This is super quiet, well balanced - so no rocking (magnets come with it if you need to further balance - we didn’t need too). This is better than what we previously had and the amount of air movement is unbelievable.Hold down the light button to dim/brighten.

Awesome design; super quiet; might need an electrician to install properly.
Coolest fan ever, puts out same amount of air as my traditional fan, and even nicer in person than I thought when buying. There is a review on here that says the radio receiver for the remote won’t install properly and she had to work around it. I hired an electrician to install my fan, and the radio receiver fits exactly as designed, in the same place where my old fan was, and the remote works perfectly. Not sure why that buyer had an issue.

Major flaw, TERRIBLE support from manufacturer
So we got this fan (from another retailer) for our kitchen remodel project. The fixture is gorgeous. The old-school style LED bulbs are nice and bright. The fan works beautifully. That said there are two MAJOR issues with this product.1) as another reviewer stated, the light and fan are operated with the remote. For whatever reason, the remote and the fixture seem to get out of sync and even though the light will show as on with the remote, it won't come on until you use the remote to turn the light off and then back on. So if you're accustomed to using the wall switch, you'll find yourself turning the switch on with no effect often, only to have to find the remote, turn the light "off" and then back on before you get any light from the fixture.2) The Beacon Lighting support is a waste of your time. I've been going back and forth with them for over a month. They just say that it must be something "local" even though the problem clearly points to their product. In short, they WILL NOT honor their warranty.

It's nice. More airflow than I expected for the size. Looks nice.
I found the Edison-type LED bulbs were too dim for our kitchen, have a yellow hue and not bright. Swapped them out for brighter LEDs and looks great. :) I like the standard bulb configuration and roomy space for large bulbs. Would prefer a wall switch control that ADDS a remote function; found I can turn on/off w/ wall sw. but the dimmer is limited: turn on wall sw. and can use dimmer once, after that the dimmer shuts lights off rather than dims; toggle the sw. and it can be done again. Website said it reverses for winter updraft, but it does not. :(
