I used to have a Hydrocollator and lay steaming hot (wet) clay packs on clients' backs to relieve chronic tension before doing back massage. But having moved and sold off all my equipment (during pandemic), I thought I'd try the hot stone route instead -- and I'm so glad I did. My clients LOVE getting a hot stone full-body massage, but I really love that I can palm them in my hands to slowly work hard muscles and feel them melt, and the client relax even more. I learned from working at a few spas since pandemic the aspects of hot stones and the various equipment I used at different places, helping me hone what I wanted and didn't want in my own hot stones when I would start my own business again: 1, I knew (from other stone kits that never got hot enough) that I wanted a separate thermostat where I could set it to the temp I wanted. 2, I didn't want Himalayan hot stones because they're super drying (to the air and my skin and clients skin -- I used to get a bloody nose every time I used them and my hands were burnt and raw -- and, bexause you cant wash them un soap and water because they mrlt, you have to spray this industrial dpray on thrm and rub it with your hands to clean them, and i hated that i was getting that toxic chemical in my bloodstream multiple times / day). So I knew I wanted the basalt / lava stones instead. 3, I didn't want stones immersed in hot water because you had to use tongs to get them out so you wouldn't burn yourself --- and clean the whole hot-water heated basin after each client. I had also used basalt stones at spas that had a heated metal base (in a cute shells have case) that seemed appealing in theory because you could wipe it down easily between clients (as long as you unplugged it beforehand, but then it took having to warm up again, which wasn't appealing), but also that none of the kits I'd used had the higher quantity of stones -- especially the larger stones, that I was looking for. I knew I wanted basalt stones, many of them, especially the larger ones to cover more surface area (and the larger the stone, the longer they hold the heat), a thermostat I could set, and a cottony heating pad base was fine (because you don't ever put back stones you've used, you just put them to the side to wash). AICNLY hot-stone massage kit has worked great for me and my clients. I've been incorporating hot stones into most sessions for deep muscle release and deep relaxation, and it's been a great addition to my massage business (I've retired the idea of going back to hydrocollator hot packs and terrycloth covers -- too expensive and too wet). I have the unit defaulting to 90 minutes every time I turn it on, and will tap it on and off during sessions to refresh /start over on 90 min, to be sure I dont forget and they cool down. I have it set on the highest heat (165?), which allows me to keep the lid open, which allows me to swap out the cooled ones for hot ones with one hand while still keeping a hand on clients (some comment they don't know how come they feel consistently hot stones for so long, lol). Lastly, AICNLY company sent my order quickly and securely packaged (see photos), but unfortunately, as can happen, two stones were cracked when I got the kit. I considered repackaging and sending back (as the instructions encouraged) but I really wanted to use them starting the next day. So I contacted AICNLY, showed them photos of my cracked stones, and asked if they might be able to send me replacements instead of my following instructions and sending back /replacing the entire kit. They were awesome (and gracious), emailed me back the same day, apologized for my inconvenience, and sent out replacement stones immediately. I'm very pleased with my really attractive, high-quality and effective hot-stone massage kit (also, I like that these stones are thicker and heavier than other basalt stones I've used -- they stay hotter and can permeate muscle tension deeper, I think) from these folks. I got everything i wanted in a hot stone kit, and REALLY appreciate this company since they clearly stand behind their product, and understand the value and importance of providing a quality product AND top-notch customer service. As one small-business owner to another, keep up the good work, AICNLY!! :)))
