These covers are great, they look stylish for a gas/electric box and fit perfectly over the original boxes. Most people won't have to cut away some or all of the old cupboard as they are a good size. I had to cut some of my old cupboards away because the gas one had been installed tight against a stone window ledge and I needed space to fit the new one and I also needed to lower the electric one a bit so it was level with the new gas one. Top tip, I used a DeWalt multi tool to cut away part of the old boxes, made light work of the job. As new boxes are larger I also had to lower the additional consumer unit that powers my EV. Overall took about 3 hours because of the extra work. Straight forward fitting would have probably taken an hour. Really pleased with how they fit and how they look.Saw a comment on here from someone complaining that he needed a gas and an electric cover but had been sent 2 gas ones! If he sees this, just reverse the logo in the door, the E is on the back.

What an amazing product. Had a pair of Meter boxes that had been neglected by the previous owner, poorly painted and falling to bits. The cost of having new ones installed meant that this wasn’t an option.In stepped these fabulous covers! Incredible quality, tough and easy to install. Makes the front of the property look so much better.If you have a meter box that makes you shudder every time you walk up to your house, get one of these!

Brought these to cover old gas and electric boxes which are both inset to the external walls. Perfect fit for both. Started by removing the old doors to the utility boxes first, placing the new covers and then used a hand saw to easily remove the bottom cut out for the gas pipe. Make sure you fit the covers the 'right' way up as you will need the door latch to stop on the catch once installed. Marked up the holes, drilled and installed the screws very easily. Attached the new doors last for a solid and clean finish. 20 minute job for each and makes a big difference. Would highly recommend for a DIY fix.

Bit Fiddly to put on. And more flimsy than I thought. And Bit pricey..But once on looked great. Much better than originals. Glad I bought

These have been use for nearly a year, easy to fit and transforms the look of the old worn out doors one of which had a broken hinge. I would definitely recommend them.

After hours of trying to fix my old boxes as they were broken I decided to take the plunge and buy these overboxes. Yes they are not cheap but if your old boxes are beyond repair then this is an easy option. Easy to install (6 holes to drill). They do not look like they will last forever as the frames are quite thin, however will be easily replaced if needed

Did job but so expensive

Look good and seem secure and weatherproof. Mounting holes are quite deep so you need a long thin marker pen of drill bit to mark holes in the wall. Plastic is quite brittle around mounting holes so do up screws carefully.
