Look no further. This is the real deal.
A+ the hinge works perfectly. I thought I had to send the equipment to Sony to get it repair but with this product and a youtube tutorial, i was able to repair it myself in less than 30 minutes. Highly recommended. The package comes with everything you need to repair it.

An absolute bargain
I used the grey set on my black headset because the shipping was faster. I bought both and was going to do both at the same time. However after seeing how involved one side was (i broke my left side hinge) im just going to keep the other as a spare for if the right one goes. The sound and anc did not change at all after install. The tools provided are reasonable quality as long as you dont try and screw everything down like its engine headbolts. Its a plastic headset, a couple foot pounds is more than enough. Just tighten screws till they stop then an 1/8th turn when you are putting them back together. This was not super easy but if you are good at diy stuff you should be able to do it. Part fits like the original did before it broke. However being priced at 35$ for the set of hinges, good quality tools, and a link to a video on how to install them you cant beat that. The part of the phillips head screwdriver thats orange spins so you can have that against your palm while tightening down the screws. The plastic part actually seems to be a tiny bit thicker than the original. So maybe it will hold up. Over all I give it 5 stars due to the kit's bargain value.

A must have for any XM4 owner.
Shame on Sony.Unless you have a golden sample, it's not a matter of IF the swivels on your ear cups will snap or crumble, but WHEN. The internet, especially reddit is littered with posts on this exact issue. Mine failed after barely six months of regular use. I could've submitted a request for RMA, but repair or replacement by Sony is not guaranteed. I've come across various posts that suggest Sony has not honored perfectly legitimate warranty claims by rightfully upset customers for these products. So thankfully, this swivel repair kit available is and is a perfect option for handy and tech savvy folks like me who wish to preserve the usability or extend the lifespan of their expensive (albeit cheaply made) Sony WH-1000XM4 headsets for what is (hopefully) many years to come.

Worked great
At first it appears that the installation of these would be too technical to follow, but the YT video is too detailed with good videography. The steps to install are really pretty simple just follow the steps to the tee. I was able to fix my kids' headphone. Saved me from buying a new one. One star deducted because of price. For these two tiny plastic pieces the price is more than double than it should be.
