Wonderful umbrella. I don’t feel the sunlight coming through. I first bought the 62”; but realized that it was too large for me to carry in my purse. So I bought the smaller one as well.

This umbrella came with a pretty potent smell, like from paint or chemicals. I figured after using it a couple times and airing it out it might not stink, but it still does. Also, I forgot one time to push the umbrella all the way closed before trying to reopen and now I feel like the mechanism for opening/closing doesn't go as smoothly/easily. It's a good size and does seem to keep us cool/dry and it does pack down but is certainly fat around when trying to wrap the strap around to close it. It's not overly heavy, but you know it's there (in the backpack). Overall, not great, nor horrible, just... eh. But better than no umbrella, for sure.

G4Free knows what they're doing!!! This is the biggest foldable umbrella i've ever seen, its as big as some small golf umbrellas! Verrrry sturdy, cool mechanism for opening AND closing. But the biggest benefit is the option for the sunproof + rainproof ones. In Florida, thats handy because you get both in the same day! Its a tad bigger than the super small foldables when folded but well worth the trade-off if you want to actually stay cool or dry. This brand has other umbrellas i've loved too!

Large canopy in a relatively compact size. It often opens out into a bowl shape with the tips upward and I then have to pull the edges down to allow water to shed. It’s not very wind resistant and the hinges feel pretty weak. It did have a funky chemical smell as others have mentioned, but that went away after just a few days. I’ve had 3 or 4 umbrellas from this company. I use them frequently outside of winter. Each has broken after about a year. This one feels like it won’t last that long. This is the last umbrella I will buy from G4Free. I do not recommend them. They are a great price for a large umbrella that folds compactly. However, they are not durable.

The G4Free 62 Inch Large Compact Golf Umbrella is truly a standout item. It’s spacious enough to keep you well-covered during heavy rain or intense sun, and its compact design makes it easy to carry around. The build quality is solid, and it’s really durable—handles strong winds and downpours with ease. The design is sleek and functional, making it a great choice for golfers or anyone who needs reliable protection from the elements. Plus, it’s easy to open and close, and it doesn’t weigh you down. If you’re in the market for a top-notch umbrella that combines size, strength, and convenience, this one is definitely a winner!
