the photos on the listing are accurate. the crown DOES look like a DIY project. the gold colors are different shades from each other. however, it is well made....it doesn't look like the pieces on the crown will fall off. i think the price for the crown is higher than it should be for the quality that you're purchasing. being that the headband part of the crown is metal, you can bend it to fit the shape of your own head. my head is larger, so this was a huge benefit to me. besides that, i was not impressed with this crown.
