Good looks great sound!
I found I had a mouthpiece better suited and with that the tone is good .I like the instrument very much. It was good value too!!! It did not come with a mute?

Lovely cornet
Lovely cornet with a lovely tone, my daughter is thrilled with it.

Strapless Cornet!!
This is a good entry level instrument. Comes with mouthpiece, case, even a pair of white gloves, if you'd prefer not to get fingerprints all over it. The sound is clear and bright. One caveat... although it states that the case is 'Backpack style' it doesn't come with any straps, this is the only issue with this package I have. At the price I don't think you can go wrong, if you are a complete beginner, go for it, it's a good place to begin.
