This is connected by a usb cable, it does not have its own charger. It states quite clearly that it is a trickle charger so do not expect it to be quick, it does take a long time to fully charge batteries. If you want a fast charger then look elsewhere. It seems well made and will charge up to 8 batteries at a time. there is a charge light for each battery but you do need to look carefully at the lights as they are not very bright. You can charge as many or as few as you want at a time.

Very good, the led light is very handy

I bought 2 quantities of this item recently as I had 2 chargers that could only charge 2 batteries at a time. So I wanted to replace the 2 smaller chargers with one of these and then have 1 spare. I have had the batteries charging for 6 hours and the charging light remains red the whole time. It never changes to green. On top of that the batteries get very warm. even when they have only been charging for 30 minutes to an hour. This seems very unsafe.
