5 Stars. Great Frame — Required Minor Reinforcement for My Weight I’m about 400 lbs, so any bed frame I buy gets pushed right to the limit. Overall, the ZINUS 14 Inch Elias Metal Platform Bed Frame has been a great purchase. I’ve bought multiple ZINUS frames and mattresses over the years, and I’ve always been impressed. Their instructions are super clear, and the way they organize and pack the hardware is honestly the best in the price range. I did run into a few issues that heavier users might notice: The metal tubing on this frame is about 0.035 inches thick, which is fine for most people but gets stressed quicker at my weight. The corner connection holes are drilled very close to the edge of the tube, and on my unit the welds at those corners were incomplete. With the hole that close to the edge and the weld not fully carried through, that spot could eventually become a failure point under high load. I repaired this by fully welding the corner joints myself, which eliminated the risk and made the frame extremely solid. I also noticed the foot contact patches were small. Three feet were only 1×1 inches, and the others were 1×1.82 inches. I fixed that by printing my own 2.75-inch risers that expand the contact area to 4 inches, which helped with stability and floor protection. After those tweaks, the frame is rock-solid, quiet, and stable, even with my weight. For the average-weight person, this frame would be excellent right out of the box. Despite the small issues, ZINUS continues to be one of my favorite brands, and I’ve been extremely happy with every frame and mattress I’ve bought from them.

The frame arrived quickly and assembly was well explained through illustration and letters. It seems reasonably sturdy and well manufactured. It would be a 5 star review but I had to take off one star because there was a huge gash in the side of the box it all came in although nothing is missing or damaged. I can't attach an image becausr of the formatting of the file. Decent height for under bed storage but less than expected. Looks more like 10 inches rather than the 14 expected. Not a big enough issue for me to care though as the frame really is nice looking and feels durable after assembly.

This bed frame is sturdy and quiet. I bought it a couple of years ago and it lasted a long time; I eventually gave it away on Marketplace, but I have to say that throughout that entire time, it performed like new. It never broke or creaked, even though I was a heavy person—280 lbs. So, friends, you can trust it!

I bought this over a year ago and I’m still very happy with my purchase. It was easy to put together, would have been easier with two people but I did it by myself and it does exactly what it’s supposed to. If you’re searching for a bed frame I would recommend this one, my mom also purchased two of these and loves them!

This frame is Okay, it’s does its job. The complaints I have is the corners are so bulged out and the legs too! My husband and I AND our toddler have frequently stubbed our toes on it. Also it slides SOOOOO much! I cannot lean on my wall as the frame will literally slide me away from the wall and create a gap between my bed and the wall. I constantly have to get up and push my bed against the wall again so my pillows don’t fall. Also it did take me like 1 hour to put together. Another con is that I don’t know why but it seems like the side part of the frame needed another bar to sustain the mattress or something because the frame doesn’t sustain the mattress edge on the side so they sink down and makes me feel like I’m falling off the bed when I lay down. Overall the frame does its job but I wouldn’t recommend you buy it. Just do yourselves the favor and spend the $150 for the Amazon basics bed frame. That frame is perfect. Install time is 5 minutes MAX. And doesn’t slide around or move. Supports the mattress perfectly all around. 100/10 recommend to all my friends and family

Impressed with the quality! Sturdy, easy assembly, good height allows for lots of easy storage underneath. Wish they had this style when we bought another years ago (which is still going strong). I would buy again. My only recommendation would be to use some kind of nonslip material under your mattress as it can move easily when no one lying in the bed (I used some nonslip carpet underlay).
