Q: Have leaves growing on trunk

i am looking at my tree now and there are no leaves growing on the trunk. if any appear just snip them off.

Q: How is this packaged? Does it come in a pot or are the roots bagged?

The plant is well packaged and comes in its own pot. Its not as big as I expected, but I since I transplanted it to a larger pot last summer, it has come a treat.

Q: I have just bought this Salix and intend repotting it in a bigger pot for life but when do i prune it please

I believe it's best to prune it after flowering by cutting back any old or dead wood. Also, it's ok to cut shorter any branches that have become too long or straggly.

Q: Will this grow in height

We bought one last year, and it’s in a very large pot. It did fill out a bit last summer, but it doesn’t seem to have put on any height, maybe an inch! It has started to bud this year and has some lovely pussy willows coming on it. Whether it will put on a spurt this summer remains to be seen. We under planted it with ground cover, which was a bit of a waste of time as the tree canopy grew down and deprived it of light. It looks happy enough.
