Works for Kittens!
I took in a pregnant cat who had four kittens. The last mother cat I took in had kittens that would try to eat the cat litter. I wanted something safe in case these kittens did the same. Well this stuff works! It does dissolve in water I tested it so I’m not afraid if one of these crazies tries to eat it. So if you have little kittens this is what you need.

Great product
We have tried everything known to man for litter. We even tried the wood stall pellets for farm animals. This stuff works! A little pricey for what you get, but works.

Absorbs rather than clumps. Mostly
I poured this out into a baking pan and rubbed my butt in it. It felt odd but not uncomfortable. After I did my business I found that it clumped quickly and thoroughly. So I poured the rest into my cats’ litter box.I hope nobody actually believed that. I did not do that, but my cats did. They seemed unperturbed by the different look and feel, but I guess nature would be that way. It performed well over quite a few days, having little odor and easy to clean up with a litter scoop. It doesn’t have much clumping, the straw absorbs all the liquid. It lasts well while doing a good job.

The cat's didn't like it
I have been using a tofu-based litter for my cats for a long time, and I recently decided to switch to this straw-based litter. However, my cats seem to dislike it for some reason. I believe they aren't using it because it's harder on their paws compared to the softer tofu litter.I conducted a test to see how fast the unused straw litter breaks down when wet, and it breaks down faster than the tofu litter. It also clumps about the same as the tofu litter. Unfortunately, I had to switch back to the old litter early since my cats refused to use the litter box with the new straw litter. Therefore, I couldn't test its odor control capabilities.

Just don’t!
My 3 cats didn’t have a problem using it. I put it in one of their 3 littler boxes. It doesn’t clump the urine and was difficult to scoop out since it doesn’t clump to the urine. It’s much larger than clumping cat litter so it was more difficult cleaning the poop. I ended up mixing my regular clumping litter but eventually just dumped it all in the trash.

does not look like it would clump but it does!
I was so skeptical about these weird rows of cat litter made from tofu or straw or whatever. I didn't think it would clump but it does! I would not flush it though even though it says flushable. Good odor control overall but my cat that doesn't bury her poop is really challenging my nostrils. The clean smell of this litter kind of smells sweet? I love it

Lightweight
I didn't flush because my septic system can be a finicky. It did clump well though. It has about the same absorbency of regular cat litter with much less dust. The bag came vacuum sealed. I used the whole bag for my litter box; it covered the bottom but not much else. It lasted a couple of weeks before I dumped it. I would consider switching to the kind if maybe it was scented to help with odor control.

Cats didn't have any issues
This litter works well and does its job. The cats never seemed to notice and had no aversion to it. It is nice that it is flushable and so lightweight. Perfect alternative to clay or other cat litters.
