Great teaching tool.
Very good teaching tool. The "veins" feel realistic and good for teaching the feeling of veins for venipuncture.

Great for beginners, economical
I am a healthcare instructor (run a skills lab) and this is the second product that I have gotten from this vendor. The first was an "arm" version of the same type of tool. Unlike a manikin arm/hand, this wearable "hand" vascular access trainer helps the learner combine interpersonal skills with technical skills related to vascular access. Interacting with the client is an important part of most healthcare skills. I would categorize this as a tool for beginners as the veins are plump and easy to find. It assembles easily and can be adapted to accept an infusion (add a drain bag). Since it's made of silicone, we don't have to worry about those with latex allergies (it has been a problem with the more expensive IV arms and simulation manikins). One of the best features is that it is affordable. The traditional IV training arms range from $300-700 and simulation manikins for IV practice are even more expensive (think upwards of $10K for an entry level manikin - easily $60K for a higher end manikin). We can also lay it over those very expensive manikins to reduce the wear and tear on therm. So, this is a great tool for our lab.

Disappointing Quality and Poor Functionality
The materials felt cheap, and the wearable design was awkward and uncomfortable. Worse, the veins didn’t hold fluid properly, which defeats the entire purpose of practicing venipuncture. For the price, I expected a more realistic and functional product. It’s a great concept, but the execution needs a lot of improvement. I can’t recommend this kit for anyone serious about training or practice.

Don’t last
Feels more realistic than many, after 2 1.5” 18g IV starts & 1 19g butterfly start, all 3 leak slowly. Still usable but for sure not long.
