Ahhh yes the lovely beet!
Just like eating fresh beets minus the greens (which I enjoy too).I use these in salads, pickle them, slice them up as a side, particularly great with a cold platter...and heat beets up and serve as a veggie on the side. Oh and roast these jewels up on the grill or in the oven with other root vegs.So the bottom line here is these 'canned' beets are great and taste fresh. Cannot beat the price!Suzanne

Canned Beets Tasty & Great Nutrition for Tiny Fraction of $ for Dehydrated Powder
I AM VERY Happy with these Canned Beets. I've tried to keep fresh beets around, but my life right now is pretty chaotic with all the changes at work. I tried the expensive uber-beet stuff made into a dehydrated powder $20 for five bitty little packets. I'd been hearing the stinking ads 20 times per day for months. They SUCKED, and ridiculously expensive. Did a little research, discovered canned beats have all the essential nutrients PLUS lots of fibre, for about 1/50th of the cost. So with the Canned Beets, I add about one third can of sliced beets in a blender w pecans, almonds, walnuts, unsweetened chocolate, brewed coffee, honey, and fruits... sometimes applesauce, pineapple, mandarin oranges, et cetera. Keeps me fueled all day and tastes great. I am actually ashamed I fell for that moronic Costly B.S. powder. I usually don't feel it's helpful to badmouth a product, but it only took one $20 dollar purchase to realize the powder is a t o t a l s c a m !

They're good beets, if there is such a thing.
Got them to add to salads for color and bulk. They are tender but not tough. Not a lot of folks are fans of the beet but these are not pickled and if you can sneak them in a salad, they seem to fly under the radar. Go Beets!

Beets, it's what's for breakfast.
Ordered 30 more of these canned beets, they are really good for my latest new diet. I eat a can every morning, only around 100 calories and low salt. I am addicted to beets and I dont know why, lost 15 pounds in 3 weeks, I eat palm tree hearts for lunch, tomato soup with little spoonful of sour cream, low sugar almond milk, water, in between meals. Anyways back to the beets, they are a great brand made by Whole Foods in the lonestar state.... Texas, USA.... the cans are non-chemical lined cans, not pop top, plain but healthy, and some come dent, no way around it unless they start shipping them in it's own individual carton or sleeve. Anyways these beets are awesome.

Perfect Beets-Just a bit dented and short on shelf life.
Purchased as new, and at full price. Perfect for a quick meal. They arrived severely dented at the seam of the can and with older packaging dates, the expiration date is less than six months away. Not good for food storage. With all the fresh produce available canned items are for long term storage, emergency kits, and in a pinch convenience. These cans belong on the dented can sale.

~~Nothing like beets for a side dish~~
Beets are one of those root vegetables that one either likes or dislikes. I love them and this product is on my list for stocking my cabin in the winter. The price is excellent, presentation is good and the flavor is also excellent. Will purchase again from Prime Pantry if I run out of these. Most highly recommended.

So happy to find low and sodium free canned foods!
While these beets aren't quite as flavorful as baked beets or canned salted beets, I did like that they have retained a slight crunch, they hold together a bit better. I have always found regular beets to be a lot mushier than these. I like to add these to salads or eaten as a side for mashed potatoes and steak. So I say 5 stars!
