I WASH it often even though it kills germs. My teeth and mouth feel much cleaner when I use this. Nose ran briefly (for a second) the first time I used it but I considered that a good reaction and I haven't been sick. It helped a slightly sore throat. I really like it and just wish it had been a bit cheaper for what it is, but the other company is $80, so I can't complain. If I lose it, I would buy another.
