VEVOR 12V Air Compressor with 1.6 Gallon Tank, Train Horn Compressor, 120 psi Working Pressure, Inflating Tires, Air Mattresses

I mounted this compressor on my truck to use with an air horn I got from a friend. I will note that the wires definitely get warm, but I have never noticed fire sparking temperatures like others have mentioned. The build quality is overall good despite the small wires. The tank also holds a good amount of air, and I get about a 14-second honk with the supplied air lines attached to my horn. This compressor motor is also on par volume-wise with my buddy's "Hornblasters" compressor. It is also significantly lighter, making installation easy. To fill up from empty is about 2 minutes. The pressure regulator also seems to work as expected, despite other reviews noting concerns. I will also mention I separated the compressor motor from the tank in order to fit it in the space I have, which was easy and didn't cause any issues. My main advice to others is make sure you put it on a switched relay just in case your install leaks a bit. Otherwise you will get annoyed from it constantly running.

This air compressor is is awesome and fast great shipping. Well packaged. I been using it for work for nail guns it will also shoot a framing with no problem.. a little slow on filling up a tire .. I want another one and link them together and add a little more volume and and a little more fill up speed and the noise is not to bad.. overall I love this compressor very impressive and not a bad price....

Tested it out before installing, thank Goodness. The compressor only pumped up to about 67psi and no higher and wouldn't shut down after a time. I didn't want to chance burning up the compressor, maybe just a fluke or defective. All other items that were sent weren't used and still in the original packaging. I ended up returning it, maybe I'll reorder at a later time and hope that it functions properly.

I bought this compressor because the guy that installed my kit recommended it due to its similarities to the compressor that stopped working with the kit I had bought years ago. The guy installed this new Vevor compressor just so that it would be an easy swap. Well the compressor lasted all of 5 rounds of honking the horn and busted. Less than 48 hours. I read in the other comments that this happened. It was on older posts so I had hoped that the company knew about it and had fixed the problem. Amazon is going to replace it and I hope that this won’t last longer. If not, I will have to find another compressor that will last much longer than a few days. It’s a big disappointment. I have waited years to have a train horn installed in my truck.

This compressor works decently. It is pretty loud (don’t try to mount it behind your truck seat). Also, be aware that the fittings are not US standard threads, so you must use the tubing supplied with the compressor. The quality is good, but not necessarily great. But a higher quality unit will be a lot more expensive. This compressor is a good value since the quality probably exceeds the price.

The pump lasted 11 months with heavy use for my air horns. Tank is still good now I finally get to upgrade to a visit pump. Ordered June of 2025 and failed May of 2026
