I recommend trying them!
Hello! Jessica from Texas here, I’m a real person leaving this review who took a chance and tried these shoes and I’m here to tell you about them. I always read reviews before I purchase or eat somewhere so here you go, I hope it helps. I have a wide toe box, high arch, the older I get the more problems I have. I have hippy feet that love to be free and naked. I usually wear Brooks Ghost (wide) running shoes and Clark sandals which aren’t perfect but they work. I started having an issue with one of my toes which prompted me to explore other options. I liked the style of these and hoped they would look good with anything from jeans, athletic, dress, shorts, etc. After wearing them I think they do look good with anything. I was worried the front would look too big like clown feet but it’s not bad at all. I wear no show socks with them, that’s my style preference. I do recommend wearing socks with them because there’s a spot on the inside that didn’t feel comfy when I tried them barefoot. Plus barefoot makes your shoes stink anyways. I was worried about my big toe busting out, as it has a history of this! But these have a protective layer on the inside and this is how the shoe exceeded my expectations, I didn’t notice it had it in the pictures online. The white is more of an off white than a bright white. They are very light weight, breathable, and flexible. When I put them on it takes a little adjustment with the tongue to get everything aligned so I wouldn’t say they are easy/quick slip on. After I put them on I went on a walk, immediately I noticed my calves, shin, and ankle area were tired because it must be a new way of walking my body needs to get used to. This went away eventually during the walk as I got used to walking flat footed. The walk went great so I have been wearing them for almost 2 weeks now everyday. I wore them on my trip to South Padre Island, I walked to the end of the long jetty and back, I walked on the beach with them, and walked all around the island. I wear them every day when I walk on the trail which has many different types of terrain. You feel the ground more with these but it doesn’t hurt me so far. I noticed they have a good grip on the ground. The bottoms don’t slip and slide. I can’t say for wet ground though until I experience it. I like them so much I’m ordering more colors. I’m not sure how I’m going to wash these white ones I got, but I think I should be gentle with them. Maybe after I wash them I’ll come back and update how that went.

My wide feet are so happy
So I have super wide feet and needed non-slips for my kitchen job. And these are awesome. A lot of people are looking straight down and are put off by the shape but none else is looking at your feet from that angle. They look like normal black shoes. However, that toe box is so nice. I'm not squishing my feet and getting all the nasty stuff that comes with that constriction or getting shoes two sizes too big. They fit perfectly to my feet. I actually think all my other shoes hurt in comparison now. I will say there is not really an insole. The non-slip is extremely good (like the best I've bought maybe) and they are super flexible. But they are barefoot shoes with the intention of feeling the ground below you. So they feel super thin without a lot of cushion between you and the ground. I hate wearing shoes so that's fine with me, but if you need a lot of support and comfort I would look elsewhere or buy some insoles. I intent to get and extra pair of soles specifically for the kitchen job. Side note, they are thin but super durable so far. For a month they faced hot water, hot food, alcohol spills, 3-5hrs of constant on the feet kitchen time at least, and thick snow and ice without any sign of giving out yet. With all the hot water and steam I usually notice shoe glue starting to separate, but we are doing great so far.

Decent alternative to the $$$ barefoot brands if you need to save...
So I'm trying to correct my plantar fasciitis, years of squishing my toes into "sexy/lady" shoes, and overall foot structure, but didn't want to go straight to the expensive VivoBarefoot brand just yet, so I tried these. My regular size would be a 7.5 regular/fitted, but I got these in the 7.5-8 Wide size and not only were they super reasonable in price - they are perfect. My toes have plenty of room to "spleen" and they are zero rise flat footed. I just returned from an hour long walk with my dog (90 degrees & muggy out!) and there was no rubbing or uncomfortable pressure points AND... my feet are not sweaty - so they appear to breathe well too! I don't know about how long they'll hold up cause they're brand new, so perhaps a later update. I'm actually going to see about ordering another color.

Not great, but serviceable if you don't need to stand a lot or walk around.
I've bought dozens of barefoot minimalist shoes in the last few years, and these are quite obviously low quality and from china. But that's why I bought them, I wanted to see if there was a cheap and serviceable pair of barefoot style shoes out there so I can have a break from all of the insanely expensive brands. They look great, and if you don't have to walk around much, they are super comfy. Definitely not wide enough to be considered a wide toe box, and the way they are constructed feels uncomfortable to spend large amounts of time standing with them on. Not totally flat, theres a small amount of cushion that never goes back to its original shape, and if the ground is wet you'll be slipping a ton with the super cheap rubber bottoms. BUT they're not expensive, they look nice, and I will enjoy wearing them to the office or the movies as a change of pace!

Need more cushion
Very spacey for your feet. I was looking for footwear to last me 14 hrs on my feet but after an hour wearing this I was already limping. I tried adding an insole for more comfort and it did improve but still couldn't handle a nursing shift. I had to return this product but I will buy again. This a great shoe for little short trips. You do feel like you're walking barefoot, I giggled evrytime i spread my toes out its so roomy. The style was great too, very lightweight and breathable.

Favorite shoes!
These are my 3rd pair of this brand! I wear them everyday to work and my feet don’t hurt at all. The only reason it’s my 3rd pair is because I love them so much! I wash them regularly and they hold up amazingly! They are so cute. They do not have arch support as they are “barefoot” shoes. My favorite shoes!

I’m a fan
These shoes are not for everybody but they work for me. After wearing them I found regular shoes feel like I’m wearing high heals. I have several. The pair I work in I did add a cushion. Game changer. Love the wide toe box. Seems like clown shoes at first but you get use to it. Hold up well even after washing.

Nice Shoe!!
I have had my doubts in buying shoes from anywhere because my feet are diabetic and swell easily and are also very wide naturally with a high arch so shoes often hurt my feet. I looked at all different types of bare feet shoes for months and struggled in purchasing anything. I finally decided on the shoe. I got them today and they are very comfortable. I enjoy that my feet do not feel crunched into a shoe. The sole is nice. Not super chunky, but still, I can feel that there is some ground underneath me which helps because I get off-balance very easily due to a lot of health issues. So far after taking my shoes out for a spin, I still like them and would possibly buy another pair. The only thing that I wish they had was a little bit wider around the arch area. I wish the whole shoe was as wide, kind of boxy as the tow area straight back if they had not curved it in for an arch, but that’s not a major thing for me, but it would be nice because my foot is also wide all the way back. It’s kind of like a big square, very hard to find shoes, but this is an excellent choice. The price was reasonable. I have probably three other pairs of shoes that I thought would work and have paid considerably higher amounts and within a week my feet were in so much pain so I am hoping that these shoes Can help not being able to handle shoes on my feet. I do not go outside very much and have been almost what I would call trapped within my house. I am hoping they give me the freedom to want to get back out and walk and enjoy the world I think these shoes if I had to give them a grade one through 10 I would say they’re about a seven or a B.

Great WIDE Barefoot Shoe!
My feet are very wide and it's super difficult to find shoes that don't pinch my already pinched metatarsal nerve, so I was pretty happy with these shoes! While the 7.5 was barely wide enough, the top is stretchy and so gave some comfy allowance. With the high arch support insole I bought separately and put inside, these shoes are great for dancing or walking around the house. One of the ratings is for support and I gave it a 3 since it's a barefoot shoe - these typically do Not have support, so it's not really a fair rating. For reference, my feet are 10cm x 23 cm and I have a morton's neuroma on one foot (which is now finally healing due to wearing super wide zero rise shoes with added high arch support). Edit: I noticed my foot extends over the sole of the shoe by a half inch or so.

Good cushion, size up
Love the tread on the sole, it's shallow enough it doest feel like I'm walking on rocks but the design is intricate enough to give me traction on all types of ground. Great cushion on the heal, this does push my foot forward slightly so I should have went up 2 EU sizes. I got a 39, I should of got something closer to a 41 EU size. I have a mountain toe shape (my longest toe is beside my big toe), and it's hitting the front when I walk. So again, size up. The width is great okay for me, I don't have a wide foot, just regular, but I prefer to have toe space for stability. My pinky toe still is against the shoe. Really like the color You have to wear socks, the sewing inside the shoe is irritating where there is major fabric overlap. Light and airy feel The sole also has a nice cushion, not minimal but enough for walking on the sidewalk or other hard surfaces.

Awesome Minimalist/Barefoot Shoes!!
I was looking at buying another pair of Lems; Xero; or Vivobarefoot shoes before I discovered Hobibear. These shoes are very well made and tick all the boxes for barefoot/minimalist shoes at a fraction of the price of the aforementioned brands. Some reviews said they had to size up due to shorter shoe length - I did not find that. I found the 8s to be true to size. I will definitely be purchasing more Hobibears! Update: I just went to buy another pair & the price went from $68 to $120!! I wonder if this had anything to do with my review putting Hobibear in the same category with Lems & Xero?? Regardless, that’s absolutely ridiculous that they would increase the price like this in 1 day. I don’t think I will be purchasing anymore Hobibears.
