Q: Is this product made in the USA?

I am not sure, but quality has been good and works well.

Q: I’m looking for some advice on how to make the cords move smoothly. One side consistently “catches”. Any advice?

I would make sure that the pulley was in the exact center of the door and door frame. Also before starting make sure that the cords are straight and untwisted and that the cord is consistently smooth from one handle to the other. If it's still catches there might be something wrong with the actual pulley channel that the rope passes through. I would return and reorder if it continues to catch. Mine does not catch at all.

Q: How thick is the rope?

not real thick but is really strong, works well, i purchased it for my wife after she had shoulder surgery. Really helped.

Q: Does the pulley swivel?

No, it does not swivel. But it is easy to sit and pull one arm out to the side or in front. It is flexible that way.

I bought this on recommendation from my physio as part of my rehabilitation for a broken shoulder. It works perfectly in different directions. The operation is smooth. The only drawback is that it’s a bit fiddly to fit over the door. Hopefully I won’t have to but I‘d purchase again in similar circumstances.
