Will this allow me to run 1440p 120hz on Xbox Series X?

Through my computer's "NVIDIA Control Panel", I had to simply set my refresh rate manually. I use this product to run 1080p at 144hz from my laptop to my desk monitor. I have no idea what the USB part does (it doesn't seem to matter if it's plugged in or not). While the color/contrast isn't as good, it runs perfectly with almost no added input delay. I would expect the same to be true for an XBOX instead of a computer, but you might have to go into your settings and manually set the refresh rate.

Will this work with oculus rift s?

Yes it will definitely work on the Oculus Rift S. This is the same adapter that I used to hook up my daughters gaming computer to her Oculus Rift S.
