Panasonic A Ten Star Trusty Land Line System
Excellent home phone system. I'm a bit ol skool. If you saw me you'd think otherwise but I am. I believe in keeping a land line in my home. Cell phones are great but a home phone is secure. I love the corded base for my nightstand in my bedroom. It has a key pad and there's speed dial, caller I D and an answering machine which is perfect. Then there's two cordless hand sets with their base that you can plug into any outlet in another room. Fantastic! If I'm not mistaken I bought this at a fraction of the cost because it probably was purchased by someone else who returned it and Amazon was offering it for about $50 something dollars. Well I'd never know because it was in its original packaging and it's brand new. I am so happy to be able to buy a corded/cordless home phone system and at such a good price. It's a Panasonic and my last system was too but it was totally cordless and it lasted me for about 10+ years. So I find this brand to be tried true and trustworthy. I am so happy with this purchase. I'd encourage people to keep a stationery phone in your place of residence. If your cell gets lost or stop working there's always your trusty land line.

Great phone system! Only wish CALL BLOCK wasn't so close to "One Touch Dial" buttons.
This phone works great. Husband needed a phone with a corded handset, to be able to easily operate it. It is easy to set up, great quality of sound, and user-friendly.This is the 4th phone system I have gotten recently, and the ONLY one he can easily use. Set up was a snap, and the two cordless handsets are fine, also. The ONLY thing that would be better, engineering-wise, is if the "BLOCK" button wasn't so close to the "One Touch Dial" feature. The very first day we had it, my husband hit the block button, and blocked ME!

Quality control
One of the cordless phone doesn’t work right, sometimes the screen lights up automatically and makes some static noise

Great phone with great features
This is a GREAT phone - the call blocker feature went to work IMMEDIATELY and the large display was perfect for my mother. Plenty of options and easy to setup....highly reccomend

Not exactly what I wanted
Panasonic is normally an excellent product. Product arrived in time, price okay for desk and two additional units. My personal experience: Display difficult to read. Volume up... sounded tinny and slight echo.I am a counselor and sessions are recorded.Returned item and am receiving a refund.Have repurchased an AT&T unit (what I had before)....

Useless as a speaker phone
I use a speakerphone from time to time for my business. Recently I had to move out of an office that had a 20+ year old Avaya speakerphone (that was phenomenal) into a new office where I had to provide my own phone. I got this Panasonic speakerphone and it is pathetic. If I don't have the phone less than 2 feet directly in front of my mouth the people on the other end complain they can't hear me and even then they say they have trouble hearing me clearly. If I turn my head while speaking they say they can't hear me. The sound quality on my end is mediocre at best . The handset is lightweight and also has mediocre sound. I plugged in a 30 year old Bell phone I had in my closet into my line and it's handset has better sound quality. With my old Avaya phone I could speak normally anywhere in my office and it was clear to the people on the other end of the line. Also, I have an old inexpensive Logitech C270 webcam with a built in microphone that is about the size of a pea and it is also phenomenal. I used it today on a 4-way Zoom conference since my new Panasonic phone is useless and everybody heard me just fine with the Logitech microphone.Seems like Panasonic went out of their way to incorporate a very crummy microphone and a mediocre speaker.

Clear sound, good answering machine, lots of features.
There are certainly times when a corded phone is suitable, and this is one of them. It was easy to set up, has several valuable functions including caller ID, call blocking, and answering machine. Sound quality is good on both the corded phone and the wireless extension. I'll add that the button size is also helpful both for setup and for those with less than perfect eyes.
