It is a beautiful life story of a middle-eastern woman
A lovely, gentle book. I have done belly dancing for a number of years and this book explains the origins of the dance. It is a beautiful life story of a middle-eastern woman.

highly recommended!
A very valuable book for much deeper understanding of the dance. I would recommend it not only to the ones interested in belly dancing but to anyone loving history and/or pagans etc.

Dance of Life
This is quite the best book I have read on the subject. It is very well written which is a joy and rare nowadays. It tells one where the dance comes from - both its roots and within the body. I wish I had had this book ten years ago when I started to learn the dance. All the teachers I came into contact with denied that it was anything except jolly yummy movements - no meaning, no inner reality - however, the same teachers all maintained that it was High Art. I often wondered whether they knew something I didn't but having read this book I doubt whether they did. Rosina-Fawzia writes intelligently for thinking, feeling people. Brilliant; you can go far with this book.
