A Brilliant Deep Dive into How Formula 1 Reinvented Itself
The Formula is a smart, compelling look at how Formula 1 transformed from a niche, tradition-bound sport into a global entertainment powerhouse. Rather than focusing only on the cars or the drivers, the book pulls back the curtain on the visionaries, risk-takers, and disruptors who reshaped F1 into the modern spectacle we see today. What makes this book stand out is how well it connects business, technology, and culture. It captures the tension between heritage and innovation, showing how data, media strategy, and bold leadership redefined the sport’s trajectory—without losing the soul that made it special in the first place. Well-researched, fast-paced, and genuinely insightful, this is a must-read for anyone interested in Formula 1, sports business, or how legacy institutions evolve in a modern world. An easy five stars.

Interesting, easy read, not an in-depth history, but still entertaining.
Just finished "The Formula" by Robinson and Clegg. I found it a pretty easy read, and full of interesting insights and anecdotes. Spends a lot of time on the business side, detailing how Ecclestone took F1 from a bunch of squabbling teams and tracks to the powerhouse it is now (and made a mint while doing it). Some interesting stories about some of the drivers and some of the more controversial engineering choices. All in all, I would recommend.

Great history of modern F1
Excellent book covering recent F1 history (from late 80's) with a few nods to earlier periods. Covers Senna, Prost, Schumacher and on to today's stars, as well as origins of better known teams and how technology and media has changed the sport (for better or worse). Well written, would definitely recommend.
