Great keyboard and best overall
A great laptop for me using Microsoft Word. Slim, metal finish with blue tint, feels more expensive, it was reasonably priced. Light weight and easy to carry. Screen is smallish or standard but I like it that way on a compact desk. Keyboard is good quality, with responsive keys for touch typing. Giving a creative flow. Keys also light which is a bonus. An extra touch is the touch pad, that includes a digital numeric display. This can be turned off to transform back to a normal touch pad. The screen clarity is sharp and bright with vivid colours . Sometime I forget it is a touch screen, but yes it is. I had on old hp laptop before this one, which was very good. This is a few leagues up again. Best I ever had. Worth stretching the budget!CR

Good
It does it's work perfectly but the cpu is older features 2020 which you might faced it a bit laggyBut that's okay of you use it for studyingNot for modelling or a program that needs much performance and also if you plug it to a monitor and you wanna watch a YouTube or a movie, you cannot do that it's laggingAlso it's nice and clean finish light weight battery life is good it last up to 5 hours sound quality no much to say with harman & kardonIt's not touch screen

Asus Zenbook 14 with i5 1340p 16g +500gb
After a long research I finally made my purchase, and my choice dropped to this ASUS zenbook 14 with intel i5 1340p with touchscreen.PERFORMANCE: After few days I’m using it I can say the performance are really great, the system never got stuck and I can easily handle multi pages, emails, big pdf and other things without problems, even after put it into sleep when you lift the screen the system reacts fast in no time.SCREEN: the image’s quality are so great, very bright and clear, and the touch screen is a mega plus for me, however the only downside of having it is the presence of very little dots that you can notice especially when you have light colours as background; personally it doesn’t bother me and it’s something which I can live with, as the touchscreen is a brilliant thing to have, I work much better with this.BATTERY: I can carry my task on the go without thinking about the charger, as long as I walk out from home with battery at 100% I’m sure to come back with a good 20/40%, using the laptops for around 6 house, so I’m generally happy with the battery’s performance.MATERIALS: Case’s quality is great, premium products has been use to create a very solid laptop, however the only downside of it is that fingerprint will stay on laptop’s surface, which is not ideal.

Screen has horrendous 'screen door" effect.
Firstly. The goods, the laptop is fast, it's very well built and it's quiet, that's it!The bad. Keyboard is very spongy, speakers are worse than my iPad pro 11inch, the battery lasts for around 3-4hrs on balanced and less than an hour if doing anything difficult (fan on full, which is still quiet even with the power set to high power and fannset to full speed)The worst thing however and by a country mile, is the screen. The colours are fine, the brightness is fine, but the 'screen door effect' is unacceptable and renders this screen completely unsuitable for my needs (image production and manipulation). Basically, the touch screen is made of a mesh and where the vertical and horizontal wires overlaps a very visible (almost black) dot can be seen. This means the screen is literally covered in black dots. These dots can be seen at all times and with any colour on the screen. They can be seen clearer when the screen is white, which looks very much like an inkjet printers print when the white isn't quite white and thousands of tiny dots are visible. (Not to be confused with dead pixels. The 'screen door effect' is from the touch screen and is, or at least was a common issue with oled touch screens)I decided to head to Currys and check if this is normal. Ultimately, Currys did not have the Asus zenbook 14 on display, but they did have a few oled displays. I checked everyone (with and without a magnifying glass). I could not see anything but flat colours on any of these laptop screens apart from a lenova which had the same 'screen door' issue.I am going to be returning this laptop as despite being a good deal (£800) and being as fast as my Ryzen 7 pc. It just is not suitable for my needs and I cannot look at the screen without seeing the annoying dots.

Absolutely Impressed – Sleek, Powerful, and Ultra-Slim!
I’m genuinely wowed by my new ASUS Zenbook S 14 (UX5406)! From the moment I unboxed it, I was struck by how slick and slimmer it is than I expected—truly a premium feel. The build quality is solid yet lightweight, making it perfect for both work and travel.Performance-wise, it handles everything I throw at it effortlessly, from multitasking to more demanding applications. The display is sharp and vibrant, and the keyboard is incredibly comfortable to type on. The sound is incredible and battery life has also been very impressive so far. This is absolutely good value for money!Overall, this laptop has exceeded my expectations in every way. ASUS really nailed it with this one. Highly recommended!
