I am thrilled with these! I store them in a jar for easy use.. and to eat: I soak them in water overnight and blend them with soy milk and a dash of salt in the morning.. fry like pancakes and they are DELICIOUS 😇 So good with syrup/jam/peanut butter/etc or savoury with veggies/anything you desire. At 24g of protein per tablespoon, they are a vegan’s breakfast dreams come true. 10/10 would recommend!

Not only is it USDA certified organic and non-GMO, but it's also vegan and raw, sourced from a certified organic farm in India. The 2-pound pack is quite a value for money, and the split mung beans are perfect for making Ayurvedic kitchari or any other dish that requires Moong Dal. I also appreciate the fact that Jiva Organics donates one meal to a child in need for every pack sold, which is a nice touch of social responsibility. As for the quality, the beans are clean and cook up nicely. They have a naturally sweet flavor and soft texture that absorbs the flavors of the spices and seasonings I use in my recipes. I've tried these beans in a variety of dishes, and they've consistently turned out delicious and satisfying. One question I had initially was about the organic certification, given that the product is imported. After doing some research and contacting the seller, I learned that the certification is verified through authorized USDA Organic Program (NOP) certification agencies. It's nice to know that the product lives up to its claims. In summary, if you're in search of a high-quality, organic Moong Dal that tastes great and is suitable for a range of recipes, Jiva Organic Yellow Moong Dal is definitely worth trying. I started out by ordering the 2lb bag of this daal to make sure I liked it. It passed all of the tests and quickly became my favorite, so I've now graduated to the 4lb bags. If you're looking for high-quality organic moong daal, Jiva is it! It's easy to prepare a large batch of healthy meals to eat throughout the week. If you're unsure, start with the 2-pound bag and you'll see for yourself why you need the 4-pound bag next time.

OK fine I found it a bit expensive but I didn't want to shop here and there since I live in a small town. Got 2 bags of Moong split beans to make Vegan omelettes ( same as JUST ). These are Organic (that's why they're a bit expensive) from India (one of the best foods and Eco friendly countries). The added bonus is that when you purchase these Moong beans, every purchase feeds one meal to a child in need!!!!! So I feed my family and help a child in need.....what more do you want?
