When I first opened this kit I thought the wool was a bit thin and I wasn't too impressed with the hook. I have done several of these kits. But I would say that this is the best one I have ever done regarding instruction and colour coding. It is so simple to follow and it is turning out really well. I am really pleased with it.

Lovely product, includes latch hook tool, printed canvas (which is backed in material), wool separated into colours and a diagram which is easy to follow for the pattern (handy for me as I have only ever used paper instructions and not just the printed canvas, although that is an option with this set). It all came very promptly, in good condition inside a plastic carry case and I can't wait to get started on making it. Overall very impressed!

This kit comes in a plastic carry case. The image above is different from the canvas as the 2 colours that look different shades of grey are actually GREEN . The kit comes with a PLASTIC handled latch hook not a WOODEN one as stated in the description. There is a printed colour coded picture to follow which is just as well as the printed canvas isn't very clear. The canvas also has a plastic backing on the reverse .The bundles of wool were packed neatly into the storage case but on inspection only one of each wool bundle colour has the corresponding reference number on it. This is rather confusing as in this kit there are 4 different shades of brown to differentiate between. .Need less to say the first thing I've had to do is to colour code all the wool bundles before I attempt to start stitching it.There wasn't any care instructions on how you can clean the finished product. The seller advised not to wash it in a machine and if you do it by hand with caution. Bearing this in mind , if it is to be used as a rug then it will need to go in a low traffic area .Please be aware , I have just discovered that the dye from the canvas comes off on your hands when stitching !UPDATE : The seller has very kindly sent me a wooden latch hook as I reported the misleading product information.I have been told that all the Latch hook kits sold by BYT are supplied with PLASTIC HANDLES and any dye residues that come into contact with the skin are not harmful.The completed rug looks really cute , a lot better than in the picture !

Loved this product, have completed a number of latch hook projects and this was as good as any of them. Whilst I did experience a shortfall in one of the colours supplied with the kit it was easy to contact the seller and their customer service was excellent. Kit was well packaged and easy to follow and the colours are lovely and bright - very festive!

The design of this rug kit was lovely. The colours are bright, very festive and jolly and I'm told the pattern was easy to follow. But unfortunately there wasn't anywhere near enough light grey wool to finish the project. I bought the kit as a present for a friend for Christmas and the fact that it couldn't be finished was very disappointing. Although it says in the listing that any shortfall in the wool will be made up free of charge, it would have taken quite a while, especially over the Christmas period to receive it. I'm not sure if all of the kits come short of wool or whether I was just unlucky with this one.Also, the quality of the wool was a bit iffy. It was apparently varying in thickness and many of the pieces were too long and had to be cut to the right length.I would definitely have given this 5 stars if there had been enough wool of good quality. I have to say that Amazon were very helpful and fair when I rang them and explained the situation and they gave me a refund.I have since discovered a website where you can buy wool that is the same as comes in the kit in the same colours. The wool is made by a company called Trimits. Although it is quite reasonably priced on the particular website I found (Minerva Craft) at £1.59 per pack (plus p&p of course) you shouldn't have to spend extra money when everything you need is supposed to come in the kit but at least you can finish the rug.My friend also said that she found it was easier to use one of the latch hook tools with the angled hook and wooden handle (available quite reasonably on Amazon) rather than the one that came in the kit.

Not finished hence no photo. Pattern is on paper and printed on mesh so easy to follow. Wool goes a bit fluffy if you’re not careful but all in all a great item

if like me you want akit for summer hols and not one with avery large canvas with all its challenges this is the one it evens comes in a light weight case which fits nicely in a corner of any size suit caseThinking of taking up rug making but not sur try it with this oneif you never try it youwill never know if it is for if you do try it(and those of us who do hope you will)I recomend this one as your starting point

The only tricky thing is where to start, as it is circular. I love how the colours are clearly marked and the pattern easy to follow. Looks amazing when completed.

Beau produit belle présentation à l'envoi tout est complet à l'intérieur seul gros bémol toutes les instructions sont en anglais je pense que mettre une traduction française serait un plus car quand on en a jamais fait c'est pas forcément évident avec la traduction anglais en français

Je mets 5 étoiles à ce produit , car contrairement à d'autres, le canevas est déjà COLORISE ce qui facilite beaucoup le travail ! Agréable à faire, reposant , j'adore. Par contre je ne sais si on peut laver facilement , programme laine machine ou fragile ? sans essorage. J'avais fait un tapis il y a des années qui se nettoie (laines de bonne qualité). Mais je conseille ce produit.

Ich bereue es nicht mir das Set geholt zu haben. Erst war ich etwas skeptisch ob man am Ende das Motiv erkennen kann aber langsam entwickelt sich immer mehr das Bild. Man muss wirklich Zeit investieren um voran zu kommen, aber genau das liebe ich, sonst bin ich immer super schnell mit Projekten fertig und diesmal habe ich wirklich was zu tun und bin immer noch am arbeiten.Das Set kommt in einer kleinen Tasche und ist in einer top Qualität. Die Fäden sind alle gleich lang, alles ist sehr schön gekennzeichnet. Der kleine Teppich ist sehr stabil und hinten sind sogar antirutsch Noppen.Ich bin begeistert.
