I don't have a cast, so I can't say how well it'd stay on if used as intended.The material isn't particularly thick, so you might want to double them up if it's the only layer of fabric or anything that you're using to stay warm.

They are not warm and don’t stay on well

These are plenty large enough and have a drawstring closure to secure them in place. However, I wouldn't say that these are warm, but they are fairly lightweight.
