Barnyard Mix Fertile Chicken Hatching Eggs Raised on Organic (6 Eggs)

All the eggs were well packaged—no broken eggs. We bought 6 and received 7. All the eggs were fertilized. We accidentally broke one on day 3. You could see it had a tiny embryo growing—a little white dot in the middle of the yolk. One stopped growing around day 6. The arteries were visible, but the embryo stopped growing. We were left with 5 eggs. We would candle them from time to time, and all 5 hatched! None of the chicks look identical which is what I wanted. I am extremely happy! Review: Disappointing Experience with Shipped Hatching Eggs I recently ordered 2 set of hatching eggs from this seller, hoping for a good hatch rate based on their product description and reviews. Unfortunately, my experience was far from ideal. Out of the 12 eggs I received, only 3 successfully hatched, while the remaining 9 failed, despite following proper incubation practices. One of the biggest concerns I have is the shipper knows shipping time and rough handling can reduce the hatching success. The eggs took seven days to arrive, which is a long time for something as delicate as hatching eggs. Shipper knowFertile eggs are highly sensitive to temperature changes, rough handling, and extended travel times. The longer they are in transit, the lower the chances of a successful hatch. I strongly believe that the extended shipping time played a major role in the poor hatch rate. Another issue is the way the eggs were handled during transit. When I received the package, some of the eggs appeared to have been shaken or roughly handled. The seller even acknowledged in our communication that the shipping process can be harsh and unpredictable. If the seller already knows that rough handling and long transit times significantly decrease hatch rates, then why continue to ship eggs over long distances? It seems unfair to customers who invest time, effort, and money only to receive eggs that have little to no chance of developing. Furthermore, I believe that sellers should be more transparent in their listings. Nowhere in the product description did it clearly state that hatching success drops significantly as shipping distance increases. Buyers should be fully informed before making a purchase, so they know the risks involved. If sellers insist on shipping eggs across long distances, they should at least clearly state in their descriptions that extended travel times dramatically lower hatch rates. This would allow buyers to make an informed decision rather than discovering the risks after their eggs fail to hatch. I followed all the proper incubation procedures, including candling the eggs at different stages. The 9that failed to hatch showed no signs of internal movement or development, suggesting they were likely damaged before they even arrived. This further reinforces the fact that shipping conditions played a major role in the failure. I am writing this review not because I want a refund or replacement—I will not be ordering hatching eggs again due to this experience. I simply want to warn other potential buyers about the risks involved. If you are considering purchasing hatching eggs from this seller or any seller that ships over long distances, be aware that your hatch rate will likely be much lower than expected. Sellers should take responsibility by either limiting their sales to local buyers or being upfront about the shipping risks. Otherwise, buyers will continue to experience disappointment and wasted effort. I hope this feedback helps others make a more informed decision before purchasing hatching eggs online.

The six eggs came on time and were all healthy. Five of them were hatched. One didn’t hatched over 24 days. It might be my fault- humidity issue. One of the five hatched chicks was died right after hatched due to humidity issue, totally my fault. All four of those chicks are grown beautifully. Their name is Hana, Duna, Nana, and Dana. Duna turned out to be a boy. I am looking for a warm and caring home for Duna, the Snow White leghorn. He was born on May 3rd, 2021. They are such a joy to my family.

I’m giving this 1 star only because there’s no option for zero. This was extremely disappointing. I bought these eggs so my son could experience the joy of hatching them. He followed all the instructions carefully, but none of them hatched successfully. It was very upsetting for us both. I honestly wish there was a way to return them so the seller could experience the same disappointment. Please do not buy eggs from this seller.

I was very happy with the fact that the eggs came so quickly and were in perfect shape when I got them. Mailing eggs can be iffy. I bought 6 eggs. 2 have hatched and are perfect, healthy baby chicks. 4 eggs did not hatch. 1 died in shell, which happens, I know. I just didn't make it. 3 were yolks only...obviously were never fertile. That was disappointing. If you are purchasing for the purpose of increasing your numbers and every number counts, you risk not getting what you hope for. In my case, I wanted to increase my numbers, yes, but also to enjoy the process of incubating and hatching them out to hand raise. That I did get, and am looking forward to raising my little Barred Rocks to full grown.

I got six eggs one wasn’t fertile and only one hatched one liquified and died and giving an extra week to see if any others will hatch the hatch date was the 20th and my one hatched and none of the others yet hoping they do cause I have a lonesome rider and is very upset to be alone I think for safe keeping the seller should always add one or two extra eggs just for safe reassurance but not bad for my first time I guess I am going to look at others to see if I will have better luck but the one chick I do have is very lived and came out clack gray and a yellow fluffy butt super cute very great full I know this is always a hit or miss I think it doesn’t hurt to try sometimes it takes a few times I think…

I ordered 6 and I received 8 which was nice because on day 7 while candling 2 never developed so I’m guessing they weren’t fertilized. But the other 6 were doing great and on day 18 all developed and were moving which made me so excited, but due to all the negative reviews I was still skeptical. Worried they wouldn’t hatch but fortunately all 6 eggs hatched. We’re on day 3 and they look great and super cute!!

It would be very helpful if the eggs arrived with instructions. The eggs were well packaged and not broken, but with NO INSTRUCTIONS and the box was NOT LABELLED in any way that would indicate to the post office that the contents was fragile or even alive. We had to do a lot of research on line to decide how best to handle the eggs when they arrived. We put them under our broody chicken and she diligently sat on them, turned them (I took photos everyday to document how she moved them around). One pipped on day 20 and hatched on day 21. We waited until day 23 to candle the remaining 5 and determined there was no baby chicks inside and opened the eggs to confirm. It was disappointing for us because it was an expensive exercise, although our broody hen did get one chick to raise and is doing great with it, let's hope it is not a rooster!
