Fixed massive oil leak on 2000 Camry LE 2.2L
Getting to this seal and gasket is not simple, luckily 4th gen Camrys were very popular and there are a lot of video resources to guide you through. You have to remove the alternator and belt, engine mount and bracket, power steering belt, harmonic balancer, timing cover, timing belt, idler pulley, oil pump cover and oil pump shaft.Be prepared to struggle and likely buy some tools if you don't already have a decent collection/haven't done a similar job before. Some of the bolts are tricky to get to without the right length of sockets, rachets, and wrenches.Unbolting and removing the harmonic balancer are nearly impossible without an impact and puller. Mine had virtually no rust, but the fitment is so tight that if it hasn't been removed recently it's incredibly hard to get off without a puller. If you don't have an impact, buy one. (luckily my 150ft~ lb impact driver I had on hand just barely got it off) Or be prepared to use the breaker bar against the frame and starter trick, it works but I'm glad I didn't have to try it.Once you get past that, you mostly have to make sure you keep the engine in time. Refer to video resources and study them beforehand for removing and putting the belt back. I saw a good method of marking the belt on either side of a tooth and the tooth itself after I had already just done it by spinning to top dead center and making sure the crank and cam sprockets didn't move after I took the belt off.The actual oil pump cover and shaft are the easy part once you get there. Getting the gasket for the cover to stay in without using a little bit of RTV/FIPG is very difficult. The shaft seal is easy to remove and replace. It's a good idea to replace your cam and crank seals while you have the belt off if you can and they're old. Mine both looked in good condition and werent seeping or leaking at all. I also wasn't confident in my ability to keep time while removing the sprockets. (Crank sprocket fitment was also very tight) It's a non interference engine, but I didn't want to mess with having to fix bad timing since one of the marks is hard to see with the engine in the car and this is my main vehicle.Had been leaking oil for a few years now, after a leaking oil pan gasket change and fresh oil the oil pump leak really took off. To the point where I was getting oil pressure lights after a month of driving. Guess the extra bit of pressure from the oil pan being fully sealed pushed it over the edge. These tiny seals fixed the oil hemorrhaging I was experiencing and being leak free after many years on a 200K+ vehicle is very rewarding.

A must when replacing the timing belt
I’ve just replaced a timing belt because the previous person skimped and didn’t replace this gasket and seal. Timing belts don’t like oil! When you replace the belt, replace the water pump, front engine seals, and this gasket. This engine was hemorrhaging oil in a bad way. This was the main reason. If you omit this part of the timing belt service you WILL be doing it again.A word of caution. Give yourself time on this. The gasket (it doesn’t matter whose you buy) will not want to stay in place. I got rtv sealant, “glued” down half the gasket. Use sealant sparingly! After it dried, I glued down the rest of the gasket and taped it until the sealant was dry. This probably isn’t the most professional approach, but it save a lot of frustration. This is a known brand and I can always count on their products to at least be decent. Other brands that can be much more expensive may be a little better, but this will get the job done. If you want to accomplish the job you’re after, you’ll get it done with this.

Good price and quality
My daughter's 1999 Toyota Camery developed a pretty severe oil leak. After removing the timing cover I found the issue. The seal around the oil pump was leaking. After removal I found it brittle and falling apart. This set worked very well. After installation I went back and checked for leaks. No leaks were found. Its been over 4 months since the installation. Engine is still dry.

Oil leak gone!
Tough and involved to install but definitely worth the $5 for this kit! I’m no longer leaking oil everywhere.
