The on/off button wore out quickly hence the replacement order.
This was a replacement product which controls my bedside light which I love as a mood light

Works Well But..
This does work as intended. I've not personally experienced the buttons failing but like another review, these remote go through batteries like they are going out of fashion. This is even considering the fact that we use the main light switch most of the time, so leaving this for less than 10 uses per month to change, the batteries are still dead within 2. What is this remote doing whilst it's idle?! It's only an infrared remote, nothing more, so there is no reason this should get through the battery consumption it does. Great remote, just be prepared to keep Amazon afloat by battery purchase alone!

Catastrophically bad battery life
Other remotes like this run on a single CR2032 lithium cell and last many years. This P.OS. eats three alkaline AAAs in about a month. Prepare to remortgage your house just to supply its insatiable appetite for batteries.
