Well made. 3 months of use: excellent.
Very well-balanced motor in the cooling fan. This is a well made instrument and after to 3 months of use, I can say that I'm very pleased with it. With the quality of the stainless steel and the other materials, it is. EASY to USE. Using the appropriate sized phillips screwdriver, installed the handle stainless steel straps without trauma. Just read the instructions and do it carefully. And it warms a bathroom nicely. And that's a really good use for otherwise wasted heat - the one annoyance of this low cost method of distilling raw water into clean, pure distilled and charcoal filtered water. Bad instructions - Not as Advertised
The instruction and description process has been frustrating. The instructions appear to be generic, not specific to this model, some parts are just wrong. Despite the information on Amazon saying this has an auto shutoff, it doesn’t. It stops, but it doesn’t shut off, so you can set it and forget it. That leaves me one four hour window per day where I can babysit it. The unexplained/undocumented loose cap is useless. Then the handle, the handle it comes with is impossible to attach. Either it’s the wrong part or missing something. All the reviews and videos I’ve searched illustrate a different handle than this one (they attach from the sides). This one you have to stretch a too short metal band and then hold a square block against the glass somehow and then hold a handle up to it, insert a screw through the front. It’s impossible. I gave up trying after an hour.

Works great so far
Ordered this because I am tired of hauling water from the store. My well water is so bad I have a 4 stage filter on my sink but use distilled for the coffee pot and ice maker.I have made 6 gallons of water and it is working pretty good. It's light enough I can easily put it away when done. It has an on/off switch and is really quiet. It does come up a little short of 1 gallon but not a lot.Easy to clean, wipe the minerals out with vinegar. It doesn't have an automatic shut off so I stop it at 3-1/2 hours so the minerals don't burn on the bottom. The handle on the jug is worthless. Fought with it for an hour and gave up. The spout just sits on top so pouring with it is impossible. I take the spout off, use both hands to pour it into a pitcher then into a gallon jug.I can't speak for longevity yet but I have fingers crossed that it hangs in there through the winter. So far, very much worth the investment. Just a pain with no handle on the jug.

Good product, but not as advertised
It is easy to use, but a little noisy. It takes about 4hrs to make the full amount of water from the machine to the container, just like the owners manual said. The only thing I didn't like and agree with some of the reviews, is that it is advertised with an automatic shut off. This is not the case. The owners manual states multiple times that the machine does NOT come with an automatic shut off and that it take about 4hrs to make distilled water. Which is correct since after the 4hrs it only had a little bit of water left. So you can't leave it running by itself. So planning for it is a most. I would recommend the machine, but know that this does NOT come with an automatic shut off. It is clearly stated in the owners manual multiple times.

Reduce Scale!
We use this bugger to reduce the scale buildup in the Keurig. You can adjust Ph after you distill your filtered tap water to REALLY clean out your coffee maker.750W power consumption is enough to distill a gallon of water in about 3-4 hours.
