I ordered this for my 11 year old grandson as he loves to fish and wanted a salt water rod. We leave on the east coast in the north and ocean fishing is big business. His dad and uncle often pay to go deep sea fishing so I ordered this for my grandson who recently started going out once in a while with them. The boat supplies rods and reels but he wanted his own like his dad has. His dad said this is a beautiful rod and extremely well made. They have not gone out yet due to weather conditions and it will be another couple of months before they can try out this rod. As soon as they do I will update my review. But my son in law is an expert fisher coming from a family of fishermen and knows his rods and if he says this is a beautiful rod it is.

This rod is a Beast!It’s not only for saltwater fishing because I’m using it for big catfish.I wasn’t liking the line wear that was happening with my standard rods so I thought that I would give roller guides a try…this rod has great ones!The construction of the rod in its entirety is top notch. All wrapping and epoxy work is perfect.The grip is sturdy and durable, it’s definitely Not that squishy foam that falls apart in a year, these grips are built to last a lifetime.The machining of the reel seat is perfect. The tightening rings move freely but lock down well when tightened together. Your reel won’t budge.The cross butt will keep the rod from twisting if you have the right rod holder. I don’t have that type of rod holder right now, but I plan on adding one later.This is a Super Stout, well built, high Quality rod, and I have zero regrets in ordering it.

This rod is excellent for both jigging and trolling, especially for targeting larger fish due to its robust design. The well-designed rolling guide particularly stands out for deep-sea fishing. Overall, it has been a great choice for my needs thus far.

This is a good looking, very stout, powerful trolling rod. I like that reel seat, the strength of the blank used, and the roller guides used throughout the rod. The rod is short, 5' 6" with lots of backbone. The rod gimbal lock nicely into my rod holders, but you will need a rod belt or butt cushion to keep it from digging into you. It is rated for 50-80. I mated it to 50 size reel loaded with 50 lb. braid. Everything on this rod looks good. This is my first experience with Burning Shark, I am curious to see how it holds up to active saltwater fishing......

This arrived safely and packaged well. The quality is as good as any other. Once I get to use it I’ll update the post but based off what I see it should hold up just fine.
