Great tasting drink

Updating my review. Pour very slowly. The newer sodastream bottles have marks on them for where to fill water and how much to fill for the syrup. Just need to pour very carefully; tilting the bottle and pouring the syrup in so it runs down the side into the carbonated water seems to work well. This is definitely the cheapest way to drink mountain dew, and with a 20lb co2 tank you'll save insane amounts of money. If you are careful, this saves insane amounts of money and with a 20lb co2 tank you can make the mountain dew far fresher tasting than any store bought diet mountain dew. The few times I've had to go back to cans of diet mountain dew when out of co2 I have not been happy with them. Being able to carbonate as much as you want and add how much syrup you want easily outclasses store bought diet mountain dew. Make sure to use filtered water, carbonated tap water that isn't filtered has a very tap watery taste even with the mountain dew syrup added.

Hello, my name is Mike, and I'm a Diet Mountain Dew addict. For the longest time I've had to schlep DMD cans from the grocery store multiple times a week. We live downtown, and typically walk to our grocery store -- carrying 12 packs of Dew is not easy. So I am so pleased that SodaStream finally came out with DMD. I'm not sure what took so long, since Pepsi owns SodaStream, and Dew is a Pepsi family flavor. Flavor is spot on. You are never going to make carbonated water with SodaStream that's 100% like what you get in a can, so the end product is not going to be 100% perfect. But I'd say it's >95% perfect. As a value for the money, It's a bit of a wash. I calculated out that including the SodaStream gas and the DMD drink mix, it works out to something like $4.50 for a 12 pack worth of DMD. That's better than the $6-7 regular price for a 12 pack of cans at the grocery store at the regular price, but higher than the 3 for $12 deals that are available at least once a month. But the convenience is so worth it. One last negative comment ... the most recent time I got this off Amazon (I have a monthly subscribe-and-save -- I did say I was addicted to DMD), the label on the box said Diet Mountain Dew, but inside was Diet Ginger Ale! I had to do a chat with an Amazon agent to get a refund, and now have a flavor I don't know what to do with. Not an Amazon issue at all -- some strange manufacturing issue at SodaStream. I've let them know.

Tastes like mountain dew. I fill to the lower marker in the full cup. Otherwise all of them, regardless if flavor, are too sweet.

This has a good taste but I prefer the Zero Mt. Dew mix personally. The different is very small so many people won't notice it. A good replacement when the "Zero" version isn't available. BTW, I add this to still water and it's great.

Better price than from soda stream direct

Works as a water flavor with a caffeine kick as well. Good for camping. No need to pack both water and bottles of soda, never sure how many of each you need. Tastes like flat soda. If your hiking and carrying a bottle of soda to sip your drinking flat soda anyway, so you can have the dew taste anywhere. At home use machine, out anywhere use as water flavor. Bonus.

For your Mountain Dew lover. We usually stocked up on about 5-6 6 packs for when my Mom visited. Not anymore. We have a soda stream and these. Better for the environment, better for the bank account.
