Wicked sharp
These are great demating combs. We use 2 at a time. They can be configured for right & left hand use. They are wicked sharp so you have to learn to be extremely careful when using them. All of our dogs have massive coats & are not usually pleased to be combed out. These are the only combs that completely demat their coats in as little time as possible. My daughter borrowed our last set & I haven’t seen them since. So we just bought another set. Our originals are several years & in almost daily use. The new set is the exact same quality. A welcome surprise nowadays.

Dogs have quit complaining about grooming
I have 4 dogs, 2 Bichons, a Maltese & a Shih Tzu. Their fur grows continuously like hair. They don’t shed as much but matts are a common problem with these breeds. The Shih Tzu has long fur, 2 coats & matts very easily despite frequent grooming. Removing the matts was an arduous, long & sometimes painful process, for the dogs and me. Hand cramps and pulling on their fur. . The Shih Tzu would hide when he saw the grooming tools.I’ve been using Safari dematting combs for several years. It cut the grooming time in half, is easier on the dogs and far easier on me. The blades are razor sharp and care must be taken lest you end up bleeding on their coats. But these blades easily and gently saw through the matts. No tugging painfully on the matts so no more doggy trauma. No need to cut out matts leaving gaps and uneven fur. The grip is comfortable, easy to hold & non slippery. The blades clean easily with soap and warm water. Dry immediately. I use the combs so often they become dull rather quickly. I’ve never found a good way to sharpen them but they are inexpensive enough that I just replace them as needed. I like them so much I give them out to friends with similar breeds. And I no longer have to drag the Shih Tzu out from under the bed.

Groomers Best Friend
I love these! They work fantastic for brushing out matted dogs. Helps cut through the mats and not pull on the dogs fur or skin like a regular brush or comb. Word of warning, don't run your finger over the blade you will cut it open.

Great help at getting small to medium sized matts out
Love these, super sharp so be careful when using them but makes getting rid of matts so much easier. Big matts obviously is easier to shave off but as a professional groomer these are a staple at my parlour and have been using them for years. Work it in between the dog/s skin and don't pull straight out rather use a gentle sawing motion up and out. After a few repetitions (depending on severity of the matt) it usually glides through and you can brush it out without causing any pain or skin irritation. Using a light mist of detangling spray is sometimes helpful as well. This, a slicker brush and a comb are my go to tools for most any dog that I brush

Works Great
So far it works great, we’ll see how long it stays sharp. I use it to de-burr my hunting dogs. Works better than anything I’ve tried.

INCREDIBLE DE-MATTER!
Wow, does this do the trick!! We have two goldendoodles who love to swim in our backyard daily. This means TONS OF MATS. I read the reviews before purchasing, and they could not be any more accurate. THIS IS THE BEST DEMATTER and trust me...I have tried SO MANY and have always been let down. This one will not let you down! It is possible to get those mats out and not have to cut the hair out, I promise! A must purchase; I highly, highly recommend this product.

Fantastic and gentle!
We adopted a terrified little rescue dog. His long hair was badly matted. I’ve been afraid to take him to a groomer as he is still so frightened. I’ve been worried the poor guy was uncomfortable. I can’t believe how well this worked on terrible mats. I thought we might have to shave our poor dog, but now he’s so silky and comfortable. Buddy is super nervous and easily frightened, but he slept through most of his brushing!
