Super cute and wholesome! 💕 The romance felt natural, the little moments were adorable, and it left me smiling the whole time. Definitely a feel-good read if you love sweet love stories. 🌸

A Shift in Focus
Preface: I adore the first nine volumes. The series primarily is about Yuki’s experiences and relationships; namely Itsuomi but includes other meaningful supporting characters. Minor spoilers below if you haven’t read volume nine or seen the anime. This volume does progress their relationship as a couple and is clearly setting up a new story arc. However, there is more time spent with the supporting cast and their relationships instead. This makes for a volume that progresses less for Yuki and Itsuomi- its generally the act of moving and unpacking. A new character is introduced at the very end too but it’s unclear how this will change the relationships-at-large. As far as this volume goes, they don’t see or experience the supporting casts’ development. Specifically why did the creative team leave out Yuki and Itsuomi‘s newly gained perspectives or involvement as a budded serious relationship? I agree good storytelling is “show the reader instead of telling (monologues/off-screen scenes)”. My reservation is if we are headed to more dramatic acute-events (read: drama limited to a chapter or partial volume that could be omitted because it doesn’t have any repercussions or lasting change for anyone) to distract from a lack of development by the main characters, either singly or as a couple. I am left wondering if the readers at the top escalator for the “building the YuSomi relationship”- and now the creative team is considering ‘how to build out into a larger “world” where Yuki has left home’. My concern is if the focus will be on increasing the “screen time” for these secondary characters without the two main characters involved little or not at all. Time will tell.

Love the series
I have fallen in love with this series since I stumbled across the first Omnibus in Barnes and Noble. I flashed through the series and was happy to see Amazon offered the option of pre-ordering the next volume. Shopping was quick with prime and I am a happy customer.
