Fantastic Paninis Every Time
I can't sing enough praises for the Hamilton Beach panini press. As a panini enthusiast, this appliance has quickly become a staple in my kitchen, delivering delicious sandwiches with minimal effort. First and foremost, let's talk about convenience. This press heats up quickly and evenly, ensuring that your sandwiches are perfectly toasted on both sides. Whether you're using ciabatta, sourdough, or any other type of bread, this press delivers that coveted crispy texture on the outside while keeping the fillings warm and gooey on the inside. Now, let's talk about cleanup. Here's where my little trick comes in – I use parchment paper between the press plates when making my paninis. Not only does this prevent any ingredients from sticking to the plates, but it also makes cleanup a breeze. No more scrubbing or soaking required – just remove the parchment paper, and you're good to go. In terms of durability, it feels solid and well-built, and I have no doubts that it will withstand regular use for years to come. It's a game-changer in the kitchen and has earned its rightful place among my favorite appliances.

Inexpensive and effective press--use with CAUTION
We had panini all over Sicily for lunches--grilled sandwiches with fillings like ham and cheese or tomato with cheese and eggplant (my favorite "Alla Norma." They are a way to make a meal out of simple fillings and good bread --with some soup and salad you even have dinner. So this press is simple and not terribly expensive. But it has some flaws, but if you can deal with them, it's a good buy as as reliable as a waffle iron. 1. The lid gets HOT HOT HOT. As in burn you bad. The grill below the lid is not insulated so NO CHILDREN operating this--and frankly no one easily forgetful. Use a silicone mitt to lift it when the sandwich is grilled. Oh, and that lid stays HOT after you finish grilling for quite some time. Oh, and no temp control or on-off. 2. Not much in the way of an instruction book; a small, finely printed slim pamphlet. 3. Short cord. It barely went from the counter to the outlet behind. 4. No removable plates, so you will be cleaning it with a soft wet cloth when it cools. Now that the complaints are aired, I have to say, it made a well baked sandwich quickly and easily. Be sure to use a bread like ciabatta or Italian bread, not fluffy regular sandwich bread. The reason for this --the airy types of bread dry out as they bake in the panini press. Ciabatta rolls are used all over Italy and brushed with olive oil, they are crusty but not dry. As to Panini alla Norma, make a "Norma" pasta sauce (tomato sauce, eggplant, onion and a little garlic) and add slices of ricotta salata (dry ricotta aged in salt.) You can use feta for the ricotta salata, it's hard to find in the US but you can make it at home. The eggplant cubes are often baked in recipes, don't do that. Fry those cubes well and drain. Seriously, they need to be SOFT and SUCCULENT and not dry from baking. You can try air fry but douse with olive oil. Anyway you cut your eggplant (thin slices, cubes) make sure you cook it to gooey softness. One more warning; the filling will be boiling hot when you take the panino out to slice it. Again, caution and wait to bite into it if you don't want a burned mouth.

For sure worth it!
Great price for great sandwiches. Takes a simple sandwich and makes it a warm meal in no time. Easy to clean too no matter how much cheese is used!

Best thing I've bought this year!
At the risk of being overdramatic, this is the best thing I've done for myself and my wellbeing all year. Maybe in a few years. You just plug it in, let it preheat, then you craft your fancy sam, put it in and grill for a few min and she's gorgeous! Beautiful grill marks, melty cheese, just perfection. AND THEN the clean up is insanely easy. I am one of the people requiring removeable plates for dishwashing ease, but I can tell you 100% you don't need it here. Just be smart about how you lube up the grill-- on the bottom grill you can spritz right where the sam is going to go and then on the top, spray right on the bread. that way no oil migrates. And, butter on the inside. Seriously though- great appliance. Easy to clean, gives great results. I'm literally thankful for this thing every day I walk into my kitchen.

Can I give this seven stars?
I spent way too much time reading sales pages and reviews for every panini grill on Amazon and elsewhere. What finally sold me on this brand and model were the large number of rave reviews. Now that we’ve used it for a week, let me add to those rave reviews. My family LOVES this sandwich grill! It’s so easy to use that even my husband- who until now firmly believed that only I could make sandwiches— is making his own lunches and has actually gone online and looked up recipes for panini. He loves the crispy golden exterior this adds to bread, and has tried various combination of meat and cheese with great success. Today he showed me his latest triumph and said “I’m never buying submarine sandwiches again!” As I’m writing this the first week in December, I can only say— It’s like a Christmas miracle! It’s taken a man firmly committed to having meals made for him and turned him on to the fun of cooking for himself. Three things you should be aware of. 1. There is no temperature control. This has not presented a problem for us. 2. The exterior gets very hot. Keep out of reach of young children. 3. I saved $20 off the new price by buying a “used but like new” model, which was listed under the purchase buttons on the right side of the sales page. It was, indeed, brand new, no sign it was ever used, no damage of any kind, missing only the original box. Such a deal! To say I’m pleased with this purchase is an understatement. I’m thrilled!

Love it!
I wish there was an on/ff switch on this but there is not, once plugged in, it is on, unplug to turn off... seems a bit dangerous but that's how it's designed... That being said, I love this thing! There's no temperature control which makes it pretty darn easy to use, and it cleans up even melted cheese, so easily!!! My previous panini press was awful to clean so I rarely used it. This is a breeze to clean with a damp paper towel, and it locks closed to stand up for a smaller footprint in my pantry which I love as my pantry is crammed as it is. Recommend!!!!!!!

Compacto y funcional
Excelente producto, muy compacto, pero con muy buena capacidad, le caben perefectamente dos paninis, o dos sandwiches al mismo tiempo. Seria excelente si se pudiera regular la temperatura, pero, bien en general
