Great electric water bath canner is an excellent buy regarding easy to use and multi functional.
This is a light weight canner but with a substantial material build. It was simple to use and easy to clean. Safer than pressure canners when trying to drain hot water. It is more challenging as I age to empty a large canner safely and this drains right into the sink with an easy turn of the drain spout. I wish I had bought it at the start of canning season.

I love it!!!
It is so easy to use even my husband can run it!!! Game changer in a hot canning kitchen, puts out little to no heat/steam. Holds 7 quart jars, turn on and forget. My husband put in 7 jars when he leaves for work when the batch is done I wake up and take them out. We love it and are planning to buy a second Ball electric canner.

Love the idea, not thrilled with the execution.
Purchased this electric canner so I could waterbath can but free up stove space. This electric canner actually worked very well and I had 100% success in jar seals. The automatic canning process worked as expected and was faster than canning on the stove. Just be sure to start with warm (or hot if hot packing jars) water for faster heating and lower overall preheating times. When cleaning, you have to be very careful with the drain spigot so it doesn't get knocked around. I did not use the spigot to drain the water because using this canner next to the kitchen sink is not practical. I may see if I can find a hose that will fit on the end of the spigot that will reach to the sink or down to a bucket on the floor. Either way I have some flexibility with the spigot. Especially if I use this appliance for coffee or drinks for gatherings or as a streamer, etc.My issues with this electric canner are as follows. I'll start with the control panel. It was clearly designed by someone who has limited knowledge about home canning. First, when canning, it should give the option of preheating jars or not. Instead it forces the preheat jar option. That function is useful as a seperate option but if I'm cold packing food, I don't always need to heat the jars first so being forced to go through this step is unnecessary. Especially since the process of canning produce will also sterilize the jars. I always start with freshly cleaned jars and I often sanitize and preheat my jars in the oven. That way I'm not trying to navigate ooen hot jars filled with hot water.Second, to move from one process to the next you have to keep pressing 'next'. It's ok sometimes but it's mostly annoying. Preheat jars, next, fill jars, next, process jars, next, next, enter time. next. And if you don't press next within a few seconds the menu goes to 'end' and you gave to start the cycle all over again. Including the preheating jars cycle that you just went through unnecessarily.Third, the plus ➕️ and minus ➖️ buttons do not work well. I find that I have to press them repeatedly to get them to work. They aren't really buttons since the control panel is flat except for the selection button. They are also hard to see in regular daylight.Fourth, when selecting a process, it starts with a low temperature and you keep turning the knobs through all the temperature options and keep turning to get to the preheat jars and canning function. The cooking options and the canning functions should be separated. Seperate knobs or something. But definitely independent functions.Overall, I like the canner functionality and will keep it. I'll deal with the horrible control panel and likely curse it every time I use it.

Works great
ok so this is my first canner but it's amazing. I have a glass top stove and it's hard to get larger pots to boil and stay super hot. Love the side spicket so no lifting hot water and hope you don't make a mess or get burned. Made some tomato relish/chow chow with the last of the green tomatoes and 2 easy peasy batches. Oh and use apples instead of a bunch of sugar. Love it and I can use it away from the rest of the kitchen hustle and bustle.

This canner is a game changer! It is so easy to use and has made my work wo much easier. Even when I am using my pressure canner, I cqn is this to preheat my jars, which saves me so much time and space. I love that I can take the canner off the base to clean. I was impressed with how big it was when I took it out of the box. Even my husband was impressed! Love Love Love this electric canner!!!
