The Mother: The relentlessly gripping, utterly unmissable Sunday Times bestselling thriller - guaranteed to keep you up all night : Logan, T.M.: desertcart.ae: Books Review: I love reading Logan's books. Usually, I can figure out who did what but with Logan it is always a surprise-- sometimes shocking! Review: Just finished "The Mother" by T. M. Logan, my first read by this author. It's a crime / mystery / thriller kind of book. I absolutely loved it and here's why. After serving 9 of her 18 year sentence, Heather is released on parole. Heather was found guilty for murdering her husband Liam, MP for Bath. Problem with the confiction is, she didn't do it and she wants to prove her innocence.. But where to begin? At the hostel, she meets roommate Jodie, who will help her with this quest to clear her name. Looking up articles about the case, there must be someone who believes in her innocence, right? She does find a journalist who covered a story about the case that has doubts about the conviction. It becomes a team effort, with help from Jodie, Owen and Amy (who is the sister in law) they're trying to uncover the truth. A storage box with stuff from her old live and paperwork that her mom had Save guarded before dementia took her. A lot of things to go through. With three men on the hunt for Heather, threatening her and her friends, they want her to stop searching, go on with her live. Forget about her boys.. Let the past stay where it belongs. But she just can't. A mother would do absolutely anything and everything for her children. The end, the plottwist.. My god. I seriously didn't see that one coming. I.. Still.. Can't.. Believe.. It! The story is so well written, it has so much detail, but also how the story unfolds.. How a mother would absolutely do everything to get back her children. To prove she didn't do what she's accused of doing.. What she spend 9 years in jail for. 5 stars from me!

This book is exactly what it says on the cover. It is honestly gripping and kept me up several nights, not being able to put the book down. There are so many incredible twists that no-one would ever be able to predict. It is incredibly exciting and so well written, Logan is a master of his craft. I am now genuinely intrigued to read all his other novels and would highly recommend this one

I received a very used copy of this book even though I ordered a new copy. The book is all bent and yellowed. I wouldn't have minded had I chosen and paid for a used copy, but I didn't. I've tried reaching out to return it, but never heard back.
