Q: so a plastic Air Filter frame needs to be used with this correct?

Yes or In my case it could lay on top of the filter area.

Q: Can this product be used for aquarium filters?

we have several buyers using the blue/white for aquariums...I think the orange is similar to a pink product used...not sure

The second set of measurements is off: should be 25"x12'x1". It's a 12 foot roll of media, 25 inches wide.

Q: can this filter be washed and reused?

I’ve never tried washing it, but I do vacuum it and reuse it. It is one of the best filter materials I’ve ever used. It gets the air cleaner and allergens don’t seem to bother me with this filter, and I have two (2) cats!
