Makes the most and best sparks
My colleagues and I use ferro rods with outdoor education students. We have tried several and this one is by far the best. It makes a shower of large, long-lasting sparks allowing beginners to achieve success with a variety of natural tinder. The large size also makes it easier to use while wearing gloves or mittens.

Tremendous sparker
As we know we all need an alternative way to make fire when your lighter is not working. This rod is small enough to fit in a backpack easily. Simple and easy to use, a great value for the money. Shower spark like a grinder. It weighs a non noticeable amount even in your pocket. It should be very durable.
