I purchased a Braun Series 8 a few years ago. It worked fine for about one year then it stopped working. I reverted to my Braun Series 3 3040 which I got over 7 years ago the Series 3 served me faithfully until the battery failed a few weeks ago. After doing some research I decided to go for the Braun Series 7 this time. I like the following features its equipped with: • AutoSense Technology – This enables the shaver to sense beard density and adjust the motor to the power that is required. • Cutting Actions – The 7 Series offers 24’000 cutting actions per minute. • 360° Flex Head has the ability to adapt and move with the various contours of the face and aims to make shaving tricky areas much easier. • This provides 50 minutes of continuous cordless shaving power. A charge lasts 2 to3 weeks. • It has 3 flexible shaving elements/blades. Two of these are foils, and in the centre, there is a cutter that aims to cut hair that grows in various directions and lift up other hairs to be cut. • Wet & Dry– The Flex Head series is fully waterproof and can be used to shave either wet or dry. You can shave with shaving, cream, soap or foam. (I believe that my series 8 stopped working because I accidentally submerged it in water) this Series 7 claims to be 100% waterproof • Light Indicators – A cleaning light will indicate after using the shaver. A red cord indicator comes on when a user tries to use the shaver when it is plugged in and another red padlock indicator comes on after holding the button (also bleeps) for a few seconds to activate the travel safety switch. There is also battery life and foil cassette indicator (which lets a user know when to replace – every 18 months). • This series 7 has an extra button underneath the power on/off button. When pressed it indicates the battery charge and if the foil cassette needs replacing without switching the shaver on. I am very impressed with this shaver. I shave every day seven (7) days a week and so far it has provided a very clean smooth fast and comfortable shave. However, time will tell about its durability Update. A few days ago the shaver stopped working.

I’ve always been a gel/razor guy but I thought I’d give an electric razor a try and Braun is always a solid state of the art player. I bought the 7 series because it had the functionality I needed and what crazy person spends $350 for a 9 Series razor? I’ve only used it a couple times but so far I really like the closeness of the shave and the speed and convenience. I think the Gillette Sensor is probably a closer shave but this one is dang close enough. I used it on a 3 day beard and it worked great. Close, comfortable, got into all the tricky areas very well, quick, held a charge well, cleaned up well with a brush and water. It looks great on the stand next to my Series 9 trimmer. It’s made of high quality materials, although not as high quality as the 9 series. I love the floating 360 head, gets all the whiskers. Carrying case and attachments are great too. Very satisfied so far. Bravo Braun!

This shaver is designed primarily for the guy with no facial hair. The head is big and there is an offset between the edge of the head and the edge of the shaving head. Thus estimating where to shave to keep the mustache or beard in tact can be challenging. The automatic adjustment feature acts as an “alarm” to let you know you are too close if you are fast enough to move away. It makes short work of stubble giving a near razor close shave. So quick and easy that shaving every morning or before a date is no problem. I recommend good shaving crème (not foam) for a super gentile shave. The trimming attachment feels like an afterthought. It projects at a strange angle but works as expected. Swapping the head feels like I’m going to break it but it has held up so far. Mine came with a full set of trimmer guards that should work for everyone except Duck Dynasty beards. To sum up: no facial hair yields a quick and easy near razor close shave. The trimmer works well once you get used to it. The facial hair shaping task will likely require another tool for the close edge work every once in awhile. This razor would never get clean enough for basic training inspection, but it would likely pass a significant other inspection if you use the included brush over the sink after each use. Mine came with a travel case. Maybe the charger will fit inside. The whole thing is about the size and shape of a professional stage microphone. Might want the smaller one for travel.

It has been decades since I purchased/used an electric shaver, it is fantastic BRAUN. You have done a wonderful job on this product. Braun always was the number one producer. I am eighty years old and I plan to use BRAUN for the next twenty years, God willing.

Good delivery time. So far, the shaver is living up to its reviews. Delivery a bit too casual - no doorbell or phone call when delivered, and parcel left at front of porch and in plain view from street.

Coming from the original braun 7 series, this feels all plastic and doesn't feel solid the shave is okay not the best I had to pass several times around the neck area kind of regret buying it. They just don't make them like they used to.
