These are really cool. We In memory of my sister-in-law Wrote some messages on our let them up at night and sent them off.. It was really cool we sent up like 10 of them and then 10 more . So our prayers went up. What was amazing is one went straight up in a couple of them took off in different directions. I found this very fascinating. I bought some more and sent them up, but it was a little windy. It's better to use them when it's calm and with all the fire stuff going on do you want to do it like After a rain. But they go up till the thing burns out and then they dropped down. You really just want to make sure they're not gonna fly into any trees. But when they come down the fires out and they're biodegradable. Very cool

These lanterns are of a thicker paper requiring more time to inflate enough to release. They also have to have the lighting element attached which is kind of inconvienent but the worst thing about these lanterns is that they are very hard to unfold and open to put the lighting element on. They are stuck together tight and tend to tear while trying to open paper. So far the ones that did tear some still were able to gain flight. I wish they still made the older paper lanterns that were very simple, requiring no assembly and paper that wasn't all stuck tight together. I probably would not buy these again unless they were all that is available. With that said all the other lanterns we found on amazon had worse reviews.

These lanterns came packaged well but would not fly. After opening and lighting you can see several slits where the heat could escape. Tried several with holes in in same places. Out of the ten we tried, 2 of the colored ones flew. We then spent about 15 minutes each patching the holes on the remaining lanterns with 1 inch pieces of Scotch tape, holding a light inside the paper to locate the slits and then apply tape.After all that they would fly great. I have never had problems with lanterns from other vendors. These seem to be a lighter paper which is great when they fly as they launch quicker and go higher than others,,, when they fly. I will look to other vendors next time.G

And there were a few small holes in the lanterns. This didn’t seem to affect the flight of the lantern at all though.Overall nice product!Thanks

These are fun lanterns to celebrate with. For obvious reasons adult supervision is needed when lighting them with children.Once lit they will take off quick and before you know it they will be out of sight. If you light them just after dusk, you can see them a long distance.
