I got this 2 pack mic stands to aid a podcast recording, the a full sized mic stand doesn't make sense when the actors prefer to sit at a desk, I could also see this being useful for a youtubers or similar recording or making content with proper microphones, but at a desk.It is all quite weighty and feels well made, there are 3 pieces, a cast iron base which is suitably heavy, the main shaft and the microphone clip.I had a little trouble screwing one of the shafts into the base, due to some burrs from the process but this was easily overcome.What is great is the shaft is height adjustable, what is less helpful is how difficult it is to grab the inner sleeve of said pole to extend it! Once you've free'd it (and it isn't that difficult) then it becomes easy to adjust in the future.The microphone clip screws on nicely and is is quite easy to use. I was also impressed by the velcro cable ties to keep your XLR cables tidy :-)
