Product description Review: Can't complain - The price and this product itself is beyond great. Review: Great idea, looks awesome, but doesn't really deliver the lumens. Beam is not adjustable. - This headlight looks awesome and I love how it connects onto that hat. I'm going to use the heck out of it. However, it could easily be much better. It's not as useful as my more compact headlights and it doesn't put out the amount of light that would be expected. I have some tactical flashlights that are smaller and far brighter. Also, the beam that this thing puts out is fairly narrow. It would be nice if the beam could be widened. Finally, it would be great if there were more than two brightness settings. Sooo, yeah, this thing has its shortcomings. Even so, it has its use cases. Mostly for when you want to use your headlight to look far away. My other headlights are good within 10ish feet. This thing is good for looking way down the street or across a small field or clearing. For example, I have a large yard and this headlight reaches from the patio to the far wall. No problem. I had to use one of those fancy flashlights to do that before I got this headlight.

I thought it would have been brighter
For the lamp being as large as it is I would have thought it would have been brighter. I also would have thought it would light up a larger area. It is focused into a pretty small beam. There is no need for the lamp to actually be the size it is because the same size beam and amount of light could be done using a smaller lamp. This would reduce the amount of weight on the persons head. This is more for show than function. Expensive for what it does. A let down to say the least. It is well built and the quality of the hat is great. the battery pack is large in size and should hopefully be able to light the lamp for many hours. Have yet to see how long the battery will last. I will update my review once I test that.

A Heavy Headlamp That Misses the Mark
As a home inspector, I’ve come to rely on headlamps for hands-free illumination in dark corners and cramped spaces. A good headlamp is essential for navigating dimly lit environments while simultaneously capturing photographic evidence. Unfortunately, the BIGSUN S300 is far from ideal. The most striking feature of this headlamp is its sheer weight. It’s easily the heaviest headlamp I’ve ever worn. The main light unit is comically oversized, making it feel like I’m sporting a miniature spotlight on my forehead. I’m seriously considering permanently mounting it to my hard hat – it might be the only way to stabilize it. The concept of versatility is commendable. The headlamp can be attached to a hat or used with a shoulder strap. However, the execution is flawed. The battery pack is bulky and heavy, and the connecting cord adds to the overall discomfort. It feels like wearing a cumbersome backpack on your head. The headlamp itself is also problematic. It's difficult to adjust the angle, and the light tends to droop downward. The included hat is a questionable addition. It's ill-fitting and doesn’t provide adequate support for the headlamp. To top it off, the design choices are baffling. The inclusion of a clip on the battery pack suggests the ability to detach it from the headlamp, but there’s no corresponding clip for the headlamp unit itself. The result is a confusing and impractical setup. And the cord connecting the battery and the lamp is so long that it produces a challenge to the wearer about what to do with all of it. While the idea of a high-capacity headlamp is appealing, the BIGSUN S300 sacrifices comfort, stability, and usability in pursuit of this goal. It’s a disappointing product that falls short in almost every aspect.

Best dang head lamp
This sucker brightens up the whole 2 acres in my back yard before the tree line. You can see clearly into the trees all the way to the tippy top. I'm out in the country - you cant see your hand in front of your face some nights. We have purchased 6 or so different kinds of hand held flash lights and a couple hat lights, and they are all ok. But are really more for just seeing close. But being out in the country, when i take my dogs out to potty at night, i want to be able to see any new pot holes they've dug for me or any 4 legged unfriendlies lurking in the high grass at the edge of my property - nothing worse than having all 4 dogs freeze and point and not be able to see what they are all looking at or worse, eat the wet grass in the pitch black because you didn't anticipate that hole right there. This cole miner light - that's what my husband calls my hat- it lights up the earth. First pic is what it looks like at the back end of my yard around 10 pm - you can BARELY see the side of the wood platform on the right. Then i turned the hat light on! BOOM daylight. This head lamp FAR exceeds my expectations. It lights up better than my 4 wheeler head lights. LOVE IT. The hat does have some weight to it but its only like a pound and the lamp balances out nicely with the RECHARGEABLE battery pack on the back of the hat. If you are on the fence, don't be - this is the head lamp you need. Wear it on the hat or on the strap. Frog giggin, 4 wheeling in the dark, blind your significant other so you can steal their beer, everything. It has 2 settings, you can lower/soften the beam. I like to Light It Up !

Brightest headlamp I’ve ever owned.
First of all, I was skeptical of this when I first got it because of the weight, but after wearing it, I found that it is very balanced and doesn’t move around if I make the hat snug enough. My wife makes fun of me for looking like a coal miner, but that’s OK. With daylight savings this time of year and it getting dark so early this is a must have. Also, I am one of those people who sweat easily, and my hats tend to get soaked after a while and need to be thrown in the washing machine. This set up is great because you can take all the hardware off and wash the hat separately. I haven’t used it enough to drain the battery and recharge so I can’t speak to how Long the charge lasts or how long it takes to recharge it. I’m a gadget guy and always looking for the next light that will help me with all my projects in the yard, around the pool equipment, and in the house, and this hat was a great pick up. I give it five stars and recommended it highly.

Everyone loves it
I use this hat nightly. It's bright and the tilt housing makes it perfect for locking up the farm animals. The hands free design functions perfectly. I recently wore it on a group, night bike ride. Every rider wanted one. It was so much better than the standard bike lights. The hat, with battery, isn't heavy. The hat's designed to hold the light and battery securely so you don't have to limit your movements. The battery is charged via a USBC cable and holds a charge for months. It fits well and is a lot of fun to use.

Not a bad idea, but not impressed
This is a very good idea and it feels of great quality, but I was expecting something more impressive in terms of light power. The light output is not impressive and it feels strange having this on my head. For the size of the lamp, I thought it would be more impressive. It charges with a type-C cable and the band feels of great quality. It will fit on almost every head, as the hat is adjustable and is pretty nice.
