Nice.
Works great. Purchased this to bore precision holes in solid copper rod. Excellent. Took moments to figure out. Excellent torque, great speed control. Instructions are minimal, but was easy to make work. Takes up a small space. Great value. Very solid . I admit I was surprised by how well made it is. Sturdy and somewhat heavy. Great hobby lathe. Nice!

Very nice lathe, expensive but very high quality.
This mini lathe is very high quality, it's very heavy and doesn't bounce around in use, came with very high quality tool set ๐. I'm going to Build pens & rings with this lathe. My only complaint so far, is the tailstock should of had a M1 taper so I could use the higher quality pen mandle instead of Artymaster pen mandle. When in use, the machine is very quiet, works incredibly well, seems to have enough power to spin the wood ๐ชต and not stall, I feel this is a great value for the money ๐ค. I would recommend this product.

Fun mini lathe
What fun. I love this lathe. It comes with everything you need and works great. It runs smoothly and quietly. Donโt expect it to turn larger pieces but it works great on the appropriate sized projects. I was amazed that the chuck provided worked like the full sized version. The cutting tools work well and itโs great they donโt need to be sharpened. All in all this is a quality unit, with a ton of accessories, and works well. Definitely would recommend and buy it again.

Good starter lathe for small prijects.
This is a nice lathe if you donโt have space. I have made several pens already. The only issue is that the drill bit provided is to short, it is not long enough to drill the hole for the brass tube. It needs to be at least 3 inches. To use this to make pens you will need to order additional tools.

This is neither a mini lathe nor a toy
This is a miniature lathe. It is built well and solid. Being the "WM101a plus" model it comes with plenty of accessories. I have run it with wood and pewter. It works well. This is a 1 hp (not HP) motor - hamster power not horse power. When turning, take no more than a paper thin layer at a time and it will work very well. Take more and the motor stops but resumes. The lathe tools use standard size carbide blades so replacements easy to get. Again this is a miniature lathe not a mini lathe - it cost more than my Wen mini lathe but this is very convenient to move around and set up, weighing less than 10 lbs. I am pleased and impressed with it.

One of the Best Tools Our Garage!
This is one of the best tools that my husband has purchased. It so versatile - it is very high quality and with the variable speed he can turn almost anything fitting this mini lathe. It was a fabulous purchase. Highly recommend.

Gutlessโฆ
Not sure if it is me or the material I was using but this was pretty gutless. I just want to make beads using wood or composite material but I would get it to spinning and start to cut, the material would just stop turning. So, I thought maybe I will just use it for sanding or finishing, no better. I used to use a wood lathe in shop class so I know what can be done with one. The worst part was the lathes offered her were either pretty cheap or very expensive, no in between.

10/10
It only just arrived, but Iโm immediately impressed by the quality of all of the parts. Even the shaping tools have machined aluminum handles (they looked like plastic in the photos). Amazing value overall, 10/10.

Great little lathe for beginners
I love it. I am a novice and have been learning to turn on this mini lathe. Limited in what I can make due to the max 8cm turning diameter, and as another review pointed out it has very low power. That said, this made me feel safer when learning. If the manufacturer produced a larger machine I would now upgrade

Dead on arrival
(see edit below) Is it beautiful? Yes. Looks like a focusrite Scarlett. Is it well made? Well yeah. For the price itโs well made. Does it work? No. For such an expensive product, you would hope they do a little quality assurance. Unfortunately my unit came broken out of the box. I will be returning it and getting another one, hopefully the next one works. Iโll update my review. Mind you I ordered thousands of products on amazon and this is the first product I ever received that is dead on arrival. Oh and also it does fireworks every time you plug it in --------------------------- Okay update time, I've gotten a new one. The second unit works. But... it's a little under powered. At 300$, it's an okay price, but just know you can get a very nice powerful used wood lathe at this price. Still not sure if this is a good pruchase, time well tell. If it fails like the first one, I will never financially recover.

Not worth it
Within 48 hours of purchase, a set screw fell out on the inside. If you didn't know what to look for, you would assume the unit was junk. It was expensive for what it is, and a day later went on sale for almost 150 less then I paid. It doesn't have a ton of power but is okay for literal tiny ctafts.
